So back in the early days of pokemon my brother and I begged our mom to get us this mint condition Japanese Charizard for $50 at a card shop. Was literally in a plaque and never removed, so completely mint. I moved from Colorado and one day was like "you know I could make some money on that" went went to check my boxes... Is it just me, or isn't it sad that people are selling collections they spent so much time on.

Especially at a pawn shop. Take that stuff to a dealer who specializes or an auction house where you will find interested buyers. I have a massive sports card collection with quite a few very valuable cards that I've been collecting for over 30 years. Had a few offers for cards and the whole set, but I don't want to part with it.

15:44 Fun fact: There are only 202 of those Paris Dunks ever made. They used to sell for around 5-10 thousand but are now worth over 50k. I hope that guy still had that collection cuz it’s definitely worth WAYY more than what it once was.

You tried paying for them ? My brother and I just stole them from stores and dumb friends. We also jacked tons of G I Joe’s too ! We cleaned out stores in the 80s before they knew what hit them.
