Yes, the camera has some additional movement. It appears to be trying to focus. That has not happened before. I am hoping that the camera is not dying. That would not be a good thing. I can’t replace it. Thank you for understanding.

I just join your channel a week or so ago. I really enjoy it. I got an X-Crave 1-19-19. I stated playing with it. Then 3-30-19 wife had a heart attack later that day I had a stroke. L am trying to got back to working the X-Crave. Your videos are saving me so much time on learning it. Thank you so much.

Thank you very much and I hope that you and your wife are doing well. It's great that you are back learning the XCarve and I am very happy to be a small part of helping you to that end.

Wonder if a bubble level would enhance the laser mount?

Not sure why I would need a bubble level for the laser mount???

@@PawPawsWorkShop So you're sure the laser is pointed straight down and is not askew???? Evan slightly?

That’s an awesome work around for the laser. I was wondering what everyone was doing to mount their lasers but you answered it with the best option.

Excellent video! I intend to do something similar.. Hopefully soon, I will be getting a Sainsmart Proverxl 4030. I intend to make a custom dust boot where the hose is attached to the spindle and held in place with magnets. Then, I will make a separate attachment for the laser head also held on by magnets. The goal will be to switch between the two easily and quickly. Thanks!

Did you line the laser up on the x axes for the starting point
@PawPawsWorkShop4 жыл бұрын
The green dot in the center of the drawing is the start point. I prefer this spot for most of my projects. I also manually set the home position on my projects.

Wonder if I can do that for the foxalien 4040xe. It would eliminate a bunch of tedious work 🤷🏽♂️

Great vid as usual but why is the camera moving back and forth? Is it trying to focus?
@PawPawsWorkShop4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. I hope my camera is not going crazy and breaks.

Great video! If you had to buy a new cnc machine. Would you buy another xcarve or something else? I'm wanting to buy one. But looks like the shapeoko xxl may be better.
@PawPawsWorkShop4 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting question. I most likely would go with cnc4newbie New-Carve. Price point is similar and has no v wheels and no belts. It appears to be much stronger. Thank you for the question.

@@PawPawsWorkShop thanks for the feedback. I will have to look at that.
