Lepanto was an attempt to break out of the Mediterranean into the Atlantic as Anatolia was becoming less and less important as people could not give tariffs to the ottomans by going around Africa to China. (Which is the reason it was so valuable)

Very nice story... Everything could have happen if germany and austria won the WW1... I can see several parallels to the real timeline, but some changes make a whole new story about it. E.g, germanys and austrias victory in WW1 and the same use of the "Atombombe" like in WW2, just with a different victim. I like how the countrys are acting, they are related and connectet with each other like real friends or families are. So they are not figures on a map but living beings. And this is awesome! As a german, I wonder how I would live in this timeline, but this is stuff vor dreams. Danke schön!

This is one of the best mapping episodes I’ve seen, Japanese, Wonder and Cheeze couldn’t have done this without countryballs. The WW2 here is one of the best I’ve seen, most of the ww2s I see are soviet and German based, this one was started by democratic Russia which I’ve never seen much in mapping.

At around 43:00 I really think Spain could’ve won. They should’ve pulled all units from Africa. Their mountains in north Spain would be easy to defend, and so would the choke point at Gibraltar. With remaining men they could annex portugal

Idea: The Ottomans solely survive the World Wars after a last stand at Adana at the hands of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal who then proceeds to kick out the Triumvirate of the Young Turks and establishes reforms to modernise the Ottomans into a new modern metropolis. As the Russians collapse and as France captivates, the Ottomans sign the Ahvaz Agreement, gaining Kuwait, Sinai and Suez alongside Aden. The Caucussus Battle nearly leads to war against the Ottomans and the war with Bulgaria and another arab revolution which isn't supplied and thus is not very effective, the Egyptian Revolution also declares war on the Ottomans, Through all of this, through Kemals leadership and improvisation, the Ottomans barely survive, with a wind of collapse on the verge, until the Buyuk Devrimleri program is forged, (great reforms)
