Hi, Greetings from Portugal. In Portugal we had a Fascist Dictatorship until 1974, when a military coup supported by the People was necessary for us to live in democracy. Unfortunately, many Americans don't know what it's like to live in a dictatorship, if they did, they wouldn't want Trump to have even a small chance of becoming President! We are truly amazed that the race is still close... and it only takes ONE DAY to put a dictator in power... and DECADES for the people to free themselves from a dictatorial regime (it took us 41 years!). The generation that fought fascism during WW2 are almost all gone with just a few remaining and all over 100 years old. Their influence on politics and society, their first hand knowledge and experience has passed into history. This creates fertile ground for fascist ideas to grow and thrive among younger generations who are ignorant of history and America's role in the world from 1900 to the end of the Cold War. Many Americans have no idea what facism, communism, socialism is or what a dictator is and what would follow if such institutions were to take power in their country. This is a massive failure of the American Public Education system and of the Government in raising awareness among the population at large.
