As a software developer, I know that overwhelming and infuriating feel, when the team gets downsized, but they expect the same amunt and quality results, at the same payrate, while the useless people (HR, the CEO, marketing, etc) are getting that bag. You just give up, cruise, and only put in the bare minimum to not get fired, and try working somewhere else simultaneously during home office. If you actually like working on the product, you get exploited to no end.

The problem is the circumstances it's happening in, with PD3 being in such a messy state, to put it generously.

Honestly, as blunt as it may sound, it's cathartic to finally see content creators like you and Red Archer realize that it's just not worth the effort to keep putting your faith on a franchise or company that - for all intents and purposes - only had one success, and that on its own was purely lightning in a bottle. It's difficult to watch as the franchise you once loved be burnt to the ground, but I think that's when the choice of simply walking away from it is better than having to keep watching it. As you said, a corpse is better off as a corpse, and I think as soon as people finally leave PD3, and Starbreeze inevitably shuts down for good, the easier it is to breathe knowing that it's all over. No more worrying about the state of the game. No more fear of losing content for the all-mighty algorithm. All there'd be is a new start to find something that's actually enjoyable.

it also makes sense for them to do a thing with PUBG battleroyale, the armor system is basically PUBG's..well...the old one, the new one isnt fully in yet

They're planning to bring over new people from a F2P PVP game to a paid PVE game that if you google just it's title has absolutely nothing positive come up about it lol.
