It depends how he got in contact with the animator. If he did it through the animators personal channels, nothing's been fixed (I don't think Mark holds any grudges to the animators since it's the people monitoring social media and the big bosses claiming his videos)

the title is misleading, he paid a freelance artist that has done cuts for Toei in the past. Not an active Toei employee. The title is merely to help him with the KZbin algorithm, "Freelance Artist that has done work for Toei" doesn't have the same ring to it, and definitely wouldn't bring the same views lol. These guys are very easy to contact and work with, probably took no more than a quick Twitter DM and price negotiation.

I just rewatched Super Hero and I personally think 3D in fighting and quick movements works really well! In motion it's really great! But besides that, the rest of it looks stiff to me.

Its so amazing that he really did that with almost no backspaces or mistakes. That was pretty much a sketch with a bit more effort and look how much more emotion and power is shown. No discredit to th 3D animators but 2D has that higher peak right now

That's what you are going to have to do when you are an animator, you have to draw a picture over 3 times and then repeat drawing it with slight adjustments over and over again depending on the studio's demand.

I actually don’t mind the way that Super Hero looked. It was a nice new take and I’m cool with them experimenting. With they said though, they GOTTA go back to the DBS: Boly style. That is literally peak and I have never watched such a beautifully animated movie.

The thing is the reason why it looks better than Super is because it's a single frame not an animation which means that the artist can spend longer on it.

lmao no it did not. bandai’s Dragon Ball games are notorious for having wonky cutscenes and Kakarot was not exception the only cutscenes that looked decent were the ones when characters were using ki based attacks. and even it was just the attacks that looked good. everything else still looked wonky (character models, backgrounds, ect)

As much as I absolutely love top-dollar 2D animation, 3D still just makes a lot more sense as it can still be great looking, but also more cost-effective. The animation for this movie was very top-notch, fluid, and expressive. Anyone saying that it's bad hasn't actually seen how far 3D animation has come. I would not be opposed to more movies like this, especially if it means animators getting better compensated.

this is like that episode of Parks and Recreation where Ron and Chris had a burger cook off. the Super hero movie is Chris’s turkey burger. its good, it’s filling, and it works perfectly well. But this hand drawn one is Ron’s which is a traditional beef burger, and when you see it/take one bite….it’s better. it’s just better in every way.

I liked the 3d and 2d look of super hero. The animations were extremely fluid, look at the vegeta vs goku fight in the beginning, honestly one of the best choreographed fights in the series. Sometimes you need a bit of 3d animation to achieve different results
