You press attack and jump alternatively very fast. There's a slight rhythm to it. One can't just mash haphazardly (as much as I'd want to).

Alternate between B and C (Kunai and jump) rapidly. its kinda tough to do but with some practice, its very doable. Kinda like the Saber Dash Cancel technique in the Mega man X4 game.

Best game on Genesis hands down, and the one of my ties for best game of all time with Super Metroid. Both are.. spectacular run. I can get through this game without taking many hits, but I can't speedrun like this. I MUST kill every bad guy 😂. It's a compulsion. Well done man.

22:03 POW being active stopped you from losing health, and you lost that instead. I'm not sure if the powerups stack (seems like it in 3 from the bit I played earlier today), but that was also present in Revenge.

Cool to see this. I wasn't aware there were zips. Certainly makes the last level less of a headache. If you want to play Super Metroid and don't like the default pad maybe try a Hori pad.

Hey there, long time no see! I'm training this run again for a marathon but i'm still struggling with wall clips. I think I don't get the moves right with the kunai-divekicking-in-walls combo and still being at walking speed during the clip. I'm at guarding speed at best, and the first big clip in 7-2 usually fails this way. Any hint to give about this?

When you are in the wall clipped in, and you're walking slow, hold the up direction and kinda press jump and attack alternatively twice. Joe should be standing at that point and you should be walking faster.

this guy is a good player, but i played this game with sega and pc. i'm master in it. sth doesn't fit. it seems that there are some cheat codes. e.g in level 3.1, when passing those brains, it's impossible to not take damage. even if you're running. i played this game more than 1000 times till the end and i know all techniques. but overally, i enjoyed the video 🙂🙂🙂

When the time bomb in a box is counting down, this is when Joe is able to phase through enemies. However, Joe cannot phase through projectiles. When the bomb is blown up, this ends Joe's ability to perform this. Thanks for the comment.
