I will always remember that night. I turned up the TV so loud. I was elated that Whitney was coming back to music after 10 years. Yes, she's not on top form. But good God: that voice! It flows out of her. Even her trademark melismas are effortless. And the room felt her presence. This was no ordinary musician. Whitney is, and always will be, that much more special. Rest in peace, sweetheart. We will always love you, Nippy!

Whitney was not on drugs here. Did you all know she took pills before performances to deal with anxiety. She would experience anxiety attacks when she went on stage...that was one of the medications she had been using for years. We look at these celebrities as some type of gods but they are just like you and me. Whitney was very beautiful but she was so insecure. Which I'm sure Bobby's cheating on her with younger women and hitting her etc. Played a part in that. This woman had such incredible strength to stand on stage and be judged by us! She gave us 20 plus years of great music and live performances...she was the best. No matter what she did in her personal life...she was the best voice we will ever hear!

People love to criticize but fail to realize that Whitney's voice still comprised soul and her unique vocal style that still couldnt be touched. I still feel no one could sing this song they way she did. She still always got on stage and gave you her all. I personally was proud when I saw this performance the first time because we all have seen her at her worst and this was a good performance and she looked amazing.

Sick of the comments that she was on drugs. This was performed the same year she became sober. There were so much pressure with her comeback. I think she did a decent job for the amount of damage she did to her vocal cords. Given her relaxed demenour and smiling she could have been on some xanax or something (showed up in her toxicology) just to get her through the scrutiny. People say that MJ was under pressure for the comeback, so was Whitney.

I consider this a very energetic and outstanding performance, given the fact that she had some problems with her floor length gown. Her vocals are also quite impressive. This Artist is simply in a class of her own, and contrary to what many say, her vocals and songs transcends different periods, and are the best I have ever heard(not just in the eighties). Her songs have no parallel ,when one combines her God given talent and vocals with the best song writers such as L.A. Reid and Baby Face, and an outstanding music producer such as Narada Michael Walden.

This is, by far one of my favorite performances by Whitney. When you have a voice that was as close to perfect as you could get, it's kind of hard to listen to it in any other way. Although I want always a fan of Whitney, I appreciated what amazing raw talent she had as an artist. I won't comment on her lifestyle, but I will say that the performance saddened and disappointed many. But only because they expect such a superstar to blow them away with their given talent, and I doubt that she had recovered from ongoing auctions. Unfortunately this wasn't to be. I have to say, I watched this in excitement back in the day and I thought it was awful but I was comparing, now just looking at it on its own there were strong and weaker moments, let's be honest; she outsung many (Cherly Ferrari Versace that night), she held some notes and looked like she was meant to be there and she held the stage, but then there were moments where she sounded out of breath and sore, but the strong moments held it together and I just want to hug her for holding that stage and hitting some amazing notes.
