that wasn't a knockdown, he was stepping on his foot, pinning it to the floor so when you try to move only the back leg can go anywhere which leaves you completely off balance. It happens ALL the time with Righty vs Lefty fighters. A lot of fighters do it on purpose when they can get away with it. Iv'e seen many referees notice that with the feet and call it a slip... Other referees don't really care and call it a knockdown. In this case the ref wasn't looking at his feet so he had to rule it a knockdown, but I guarantee if he wasn't on his foot like that, he would not have fallen
