PBSO are the best. I was afraid to report my Alzheimers husband missing because I was afraid they would beat him up and arrest him. Instead, they kept him calm on the side of the road, over an hour from where we live, took me to him in a deputy's car so I could drive him and our car home. Even gave us a police escort home. Thank you Deputy Campbell and Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.

When I see The Homeless, I keep in mind, that I can easily be in their shoes. So I do what I can

You never know what people are going through until you walk in their shoes. Just smiling and saying “hi” in passing, can give people hope. How would I know one may ask? Several years ago I was at a store and passed a man who had just entered the store. I said hi and went on with my business. About 30 minutes later that same man walked up to me and said something I’ll never forget….”ma’am when I walked into this store my mind was in a bad place. You saying hello to me, made me feel so much better.” I gave him a huge smile, with tears in my eyes and said “now you made me feel better.” To this day I still smile and say hello to people. Saying hi costs nothing but the blessings are priceless. To everyone at the PBSO, thank you sharing these stories with your viewers. Uber respect. May God continue to bless you like you are blessing others including me. 🙏

Wow , yeah I relate. Last 6 yrs. of injures and illness broke me . Thank God I'm a vet . Pride and ego can get in the way when you hit bottom. Having to get snap , ride the bus , calling all agencies and getting rejection . It's tough man . Standdown stepped up and saved me. I had to hit that bottom before getting back on that ladder and accepting my place.

I’m not homeless but running out of options. I’m glad that you toughed it out and apparently clawed your way out.

This is fantastic. I’ve been filming homeless documentaries off palm beach lakes and other parts of west palm beach. Maybe we can collab on something one day. Thank you PBSO.

Corrupt sherrifs who write citations to people for looking at cars. The entire department is dirty and corrupt and they know. Every citation written for "spectating" for watching cars go by is a rights violation. Your officers knew what they were doing, they know they were violating rights. But you qill just investigate yourselves and find you did nothing wrong. Every deputy involved that day is a coward.

The thing is, a lot of people don’t realize that being at the absolute bottom, without help…. It’s the most difficult to get back up. People wonder why don’t they get a job¿ ( my regular question mark doesn’t work for those who are wondering) . I’m posting this part before it disappears. To be continued….

Why don’t they get a job¿ Imagine coming out of the military with no body, nothing. Or getting raised in an abusive home and running away, or whatever the case may be. Each persons story is different. And I mean as different as a snowflake is to another snowflake. ( continue to next comment)

Long story short eventually it gets to the point where you have no money. Without money, you can’t cut your hair , fingernails, bathe, get clothes, ETC. you get depressed, you lose hope, you don’t ask for help. BUT YOU CAN NOTTTTT BE SCARED to ask for help. Continue to next comment

A lot of times when looking and smelling the way you do when in the above situation you’re scared to ask for help, but you gotta do what you gotta do fam. Man you don’t need no shower to bathe, you see that hose¿ ok then, you see that bar of soap in that hotel you snuck in¿ ok then. Man remember who you are. You see it’s easier to see it this way now that I’m sober. Well, a month, since I got ran over by that truck. Oh the point I’m getting at. PBSO, you guys suck when you arrest us, but you do know how to take care of us when we’re not causing trouble. Thank you for Checkers that one day you pulled me over for jay walking just to get my name.
