​@@ariella2658 Same thing happened to me as well. It's either the size of the yarn or hook I think. I reduced one row. According to the size chart mine was medium. But since it is big now, I'm following the S pattern and frogged on row. Now it fits well

I use a 4 or 3 weight size yarn and it works even if its single strand if you yarn under instead of yarn over. It keeps it's shape. Yarn under eill always make the stitches tighter and hold shape better

Hi! I'm just getting back to crocheting after many years, and I was nervous about catching on again. I watched several videos, and I was frustrated with not understanding or the person going too fast. Your tutorial is perfect, and I can use if for so many hats, and change things as I want. I have one question, and I know it's ridiculous, but again it's been awhile for me. I don't understand how many rows are to be done on the brim. I've done the sides, and was about to do the rim, but it seemed as if you only did one row, but I know I'm not understanding correctly. Thank you!

Hi💕tysm In this pattern, we'll do 3 rows for the brim you can see the written pattern for this at 20:55 (of course you can always do more by following the rules of increasing 6 stitches on each row)

Hii.. I've tried your tutorial and many other tutorials too but when it comes to making the brim, I mean the sides, it doesn't keep the shape of the hat🥺Is there something I'm doing wrong ? I tried crocheting using a woolen yarn with 3.5mm hook. The top works out fine but its just after that it doesnt... 😢

I was wondering if when doing the sides is it possible to use double crochet instead of HDC? To make it build faster? Is there any way to fix a hole about the size of a quarter where my magic circle didn’t close completely?

Yes you can absolutely use Dc for the side!!! the fabric there will be abit softer but that can be nice too ❤️ About the hole, you can thread the end/tail into the stitches of the first row with yarn needle, pull it all the way to close the hole, then you can fasten it with a knot and weave it in🧶

I am so excited to start this project! However, I'm having trouble finding the correct weight of yarn. The Bulky #5 is too bulky! Could I just use a larger hook?

If you prefer thinner yarn, you can go with #4 Aran together with 5 or 5.5mm hook 💕! And if you want to use #5 with a bigger hook, you might need to consider a down size 💫

Hi💞After fishing the crown/circle, we'll keep the number of stitches the same for the whole "Side of the hat". So if yoir circle finish at 70sts, then you'll want to keep it the same until you get to "brim of hat" section🧶

I´m on the brim of my hat and I´m doing one hdc in each 8 sts and two hdc in every 9th sts, which means I should end up with 100 sts according to your pattern. Although I´m ending up with 104 sts, is it going to affect the outcome in any way if I just keep going with increasing to double sts in every 10th sts?

You can just keep going as long as visually the shape of the hat still looks nice to you 😉💞💝

Yes, go for the same recommended hook 😉 and it'll take about 120-200gr of yarn depending on types of yarn (acrylic, cotton, wool,....)
