Love this information and history. I just bought land at the in Sam Houston national Forest. I'm really concerned if there's any cougars around here security Texas off of highway 105?

There are definitely Mountain Lions in the area (also known as cougars) but there's not much reason to worry about them. They're wary of humans and as long as we keep a safe distance from them they shouldn't be a problem. They're all over Texas, but they're rarely seen.

@texasparksandwildlife WOW seriously? We have a creek in the back. I'm not going to let my kids go back there by themselves.
