Bit of advice from a fellow trucker gamer, if your solo driver, get some workout foam pads, flip top mattress over and put pc on top bunk sitting on the foam. The bangs in these trucks can do damage to your computers internals, like graphics card. Had to replace my gtx 3080 because of the vibrations causing pins to get damaged. Use some straps wrapped completely over desktop and under the bunk. For montitor....I got a ceiling mount and drilled the holes through the top bunk to mount it on a non moving mount. The flip down/up mounts cant withstand the bangs from the road. Nice set up though.

Can you tell me more or elaborate on the pc and the foam? I am taking my pc with me next week when i get out too, but I work in the oilfields so most of the work is in ranches, etc.. so bumpy road and I wouldn't like for a component to get messed up. Thank you.

@@johamlucero8681 Sorry so late, not really much more to elaborate on. I used my wife's memory foam workout mat (dick's/walmart/major wholesaler) should carry the mats. There not expensive, and don't worry the wife wasn't using them (😁). Cut them up to the size of the bottom of your computer, add 4 or 5 layers then strap it down. Like I said your truck does need a top bunk...good luck. Also the reason I didn't just use the spare mattress was because it encompasses to much of my lower pc so that it can't breath. Depending how much ventilation your pc has you could just use the mattress as the absorbing compound.

Yea I found out the hard way I didn't store it properly while I was driving so I think I got a dead gpu or a bad power supply. The pc starts up but doesn't display anything on the monitor.

@@alexanderwiliiams2 I've switched to a more compact pc. After using my alienware aurora for over a year I realized it was just way to bulky. Ended up buying a mini pc case and built it so that all fragile internals would be sitting in the upright position instead of sideways. No problems since. Also, not sure if you've discovered this, but tmobile has a thing called the gateway. Allows no limit internet in your truck as long as your in a 5g area. For years I used phone Hotspot and hated reaching my data cap and getting throttled. The gateway is just like having home net in the truck. Be safe and have fun fellow gamer!

I recognize the truck interior -- International LT. I'm on my reset/home time, and I'm thinking of bringing my full tower with me. I think it will be okay on its side on the bed when driving with all those bumps and crazy things we seems to drive over. Funny thing is that I don't have a lot of space, because I bought my own portable fridge/freezer since my truck didn't come one. I constantly have to move stuff just to get around the vehicle, and I imagine setting up my rig will be the same.

Thankfully mine came with a fridge, mines basically the same as the video its under where the pc is. But yes you gotta pack light cause the truck gets cluttered and hard to maneuver around in very quickly, I have the same issue.

Yea it just depends on how big your pc is and finding an area where it can get plenty air flow. My pc is 12 liter so its pretty small compared to a full tower. Yea you got it, I love my international I got alot of space. I keep my pc on my bed while I'm driving and keep it on a blanket so it doesn't roll off my bed.

I would highly recommend the Corsair K63 keyboard with the lapboard. Its kind of pricey and doesn't have RGB (icue hogs cpu anyway so I don't run it), only single blue, but the lapboard has padding on the bottom and a hard mouse built in. Its very comfortable to use in bed either sitting up with it on the bed directly or laying back/sitting up with it on your lap. Oh and its wireless with pretty good battery life, but you look like you're within cable reach of the pc anyway.

Hey man! Nice setup, I'm not a gamer but I am a trucker and over the past few years I've got into drones BIG TIME lol! I am now building my own fpv drones in the truck and fly them all over the country. I have a dated laptop but want to get into some video editing and also use the fpv simulators which are taxing on a machine because of the graphics and all. Just bought my own truck and was planning on buying a MacBook. Do you not think those are powerful enough? Just curious since you seem to have a full pc set up? if you wanted to go all out you could like do one of those wall mounted pc's and have that setup but it probably would take up too much wallspace to be comfortable depending on the layout of the interior. I know that some people run their volvos with the table setup and they just sleep in the top bunk, so maybe just doing a computer setup that way would be good too. not really sure if internationals have tables like that tho. just brainstorming ideas is all

Good set up I’m thinking about doing the same thing. I got a lot of extra stuff to piece together a good gaming rig. I use keypad for my left hand and mouse for gaming. I’m using a IPad Pro now but that doesn’t cut it I need the real set up for Warzone and other shooter games.

Dude I have been looking for something just like this! This is insane! I am glad I found your video. That sounds amazing look amazing. One thing I miss when not home is PC gaming You should try a new monitor arm longer so you can sit on the bunk straight. Also grab a little table like those couch gaming tables for pc mouse keyboard but this is dope. Quick question are you idling while gaming? Or can the inverter handle the power draw? And if idling what about ares where idling is prohibited?

I got a 3080 so it’s power hungry with the truck off I’ll probably get only 20 mins before I have to turn my truck back on, for the inverter I would say at least 1800. I had a buddy who brought his on his truck and he had an 1200 watt which he was mad as hell because it wasn’t enough to run it

Looking at the skytech prism II. Doing all the research. Going to build this around my LG monitor. And put it in my 2020 Freightliner Cascadia. Your setup is beautiful freaking awesome.

I been using my hotspot with verizon, I was using a vpn and pdanet but verizon keeps figuring out what I'm doing and slowing my connection back. I even used every proxy to turn my phone into a proxy server. Which it did work but steam has issues with using proxies so I would have issues with playing online

I got a whole valve index waiting to be ordered with 3 sensors setup and full body tracking with my desktop PC for my T680. I got the PC and stuff in there just have to get my VR. It is doable too because my friend did the same in his freightliner. It’s a little easier to set up in the Cascadia, but ye desktop in semi truck is superior.

Im looking into getting into trucking and being able to bring a pc with me would be a huge plus. What kind of seating do you have? just sitting on the bed with the keyboard and mouse on the bed? I have an 1800 watt inverter in my truck and I have it plugged into surge protector, so I'm able to run it for about 4 hrs with the truck off but I mostly play it while the truck is on. i have Verizon, so I just use my hotspot on my phone which sucks sometimes but it gets the job done, even when im out of data.

@@MartinSinMarca it's not worth it, the jetpack only has 15gb maybe 30 but after the data is gone its basically a paper weight you'll be better off using your mobile hotspot on your phone or tethering it. That way once you use all your data you'll still be able to use it but at a slow rate mine drops from 2mb to 600-100kb. But that's just for Verizon I haven't tried the other companies yet.

@@alexanderwiliiams2 That is insanely cool, I am in pretty cold weather and my 3070 runs around 65c I can't imagine in that confined chasis it is that cold under load, ie gaming. Gamers Nexus has done tests with the corsair 1 and they don't bid to well for the system, especially their aios I personally have a 360 rad and after having the pump fail on me I would much rather a noctua air cooler

Yea it’s holding up if I had a glass case it probably would of been broke by now. Only issues I’m really having is Corsair icue which makes my pc black like crazy sometimes I wish I can unstall it but that the only way my liquid cooler will, my gpu super hot when playing update games so I have to keep an fan only if I don’t do that sometimes my pc will shut down and damn my monitor works when it wanna works sometimes it’s keep on and off I think it’s probably from all vibrations and potholes i hit. Only thing actually taking a beating is my keyboard I dropped it a couple times and I had an external hdd die which sucks because it was 4 tb and I had a lot of games on it, now I got to buy another one or I might get an external ssd. But for the for part everything has been great still trying to find an internet solution.

I can have everything on the truck on all at once and its all cool, but if I got just that monitor on for even a few minutes it starts buggin out turnin off and on in a loop. The setup depends on what kind of truck you have and your inverter size, I have an international lt so I have alot of space and a couple of options I could either sit it on top of the dresser area or keep it on the floor. I wanted to have my under my bed but it's to top. I have an 12 liter unit. My inverter is 1800 watts I think.

No it was just from the heat my pc has a liquid cooled 3080 and there's only one fan in the system, an 3080 needs way more cooling than that. So now pc turn on but won't display a signal.

Yea I’m still trying to figure that out, the only method that works is using a proxy, which if you have android you can use every proxy app and I’ll give unlimited data at 10mbps plus some times depending where you park I have Verizon.

Sir, how do you get 220volts out of 24v? Do you use some kind of amplificator? And for how long can you play games like that? I mean, do you have to keep your truck going on, or you can switch it off? Can you explain some more? I’m plaining to drive a truck for a long time and playing games could save my brain and keep it busy. I thought of a lap-top, but I guess that’s not a smart move. Thanks and God bless you.

I had an 1800 watt inverter installed on my truck and I could only play with it for 20 mins with the truck off, so I had to keep the truck running In order to use it. And an laptop is more than enough it just depends on what your gonna use it for.
