oh man, after the commodore64 we got our first home PC and this was one of the first games i got into. just watching the person playing struggle to find the correct commands... how insanely easy it is to fuck up driving... this brings back so many frustrated memories. i never finished this game, but what an age we live in. i can just watch someone else suffer through it and now i can finally know the ending... thank you

This was the first computer game I ever played as a kid. I had no clue what to do and always had to ask one of the big kids at school to come help

The one thong I remember about this game is that the police night stick is referred to in the game as the PR24

They used a lot of cross reference for adventure games, though they stayed pretty serious when it came to Police Quest. You'll find Leisure Suit Larry in Police Quest 2. ~JagOfTroy

Missed the hidden point, if you tell the jailor to “book ‘em Dan-o” you get the only extra point in the game.

The hints (phone numbers, model number of the caliber gun, etc.), they're all in the help booklet, right? Just curious.

nope.. not the phone numbers, just the procedures for arrests and traffic stops, how and when to use the radio, and how and why you safety check the cars

Loved this game had on the Amiga but could never get that far when I first tried as I got stuck when you pull over the drink driving woman tried everything arrest , book but nothing worked in the end I just typed kiss her didn't go so well as I didn't know she was the chiefs wife. Years later I found out you need to do a sobriety test hell I'm English we don't do that over here.
