This kind of content causes me to use a bit too much money :P Honestly, I bought this filter entirely due to your video. I haven't tried it out yet, but it does feel like a high quality piece of kit when you have it in your hands, and installation was really easy once the proper fittings were found. Bought the filter from SPSupplies, and really liked the customer support there, so all good so far. Should be spraying clear within the next week, so can't wait to see how it performs. Thanks for a great video Pete - was just what I needed!

Hi Kasper, I know what you mean, this stuff is expensive. I've had this setup for nearly a year now and haven't touched it, although they are quite a lot of money i find it's slowly paying itself back since i don't need to use and replace the pre filters anymore. The upside is the odd piece of air line contamination i used to get has completely gone with the knock on effect of saving time afterwards so balanced out like that it's not too bad really. Be interesting to know what you think and obviously others can see it as well, cheers mate 👍

Hi Dean, it does for sure, i was really sceptical at first, all the stuff on here was either corporate or sponsored stuff as far as i could see. I know someone that has one and they said it was good so took the plunge and it really is, cheers mate 👍

Looks like a good filter Pete, I suppose at least the price is a one off and for guys like us they should last a lifetime really maybe I should get work to get some for our pneumatic actuator air supply. Makes me wonder why you would still need the 3 stage system after that bearing in mind I haven’t looked at it properly yet 😊cheers mate.
@peteshobbies5383 Жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, they really do work so definitely good if your suffering from contamination in the line. The only reason for keeping the 3 stage is because i have it all ready really, your right, not needed if you only use air for the gun, cheers mate 👍

Hello Pete how does the drain work ?

Hi Paddy, this one is auto, when it gets to a certain level inside it discharges, they make a manual version as well

Hi Pete what model is the filter. I see SP don’t sell it now. Great videos. Thanks
@peteshobbies53833 ай бұрын
Hi Tony, Yeah, it looks like they have stopped selling it, I can't remember the exact number but they go on CFM , they made one up to 16cfm which was no good for me as some of the big HVLP guns I have use more than that, so from memory the one I went for was around 28 cfm flow, maximum of around 35cfm. Pretty sure it this one, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126363026057?chn=ps&_ul=GB&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1xfMCbGEMTzuEZ8Fhk8TAYw31&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=126363026057&targetid=1647205088600&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006886&poi=&campaignid=17206177401&mkgroupid=136851690655&rlsatarget=pla-1647205088600&abcId=9300866&merchantid=101720430&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlIrO_enNhgMV_ZZQBh3TkQtcEAQYDCABEgJ5FvD_BwE

@@peteshobbies5383 hey Pete thanks for that. That’s a slightly different model to yours. Just an FYI your model I think is the 900A it’s more than double the price you mentioned now. I went with the slightly smaller 600A. 👍🏽

You could be right, they really do work so well, I haven't touched mine since I've had it, I did catch it once dropping water out the bottom as I was beginning to wonder if the auto drain was working 🤔 😂, I think you'll find it excellent, even though they are expensive, it saves so much time in clearing up little silcone or water spots you may get, I literally get nothing now, really happy with it, cheers mate 👍

@peteshobbies5383 Жыл бұрын
Hi Lu, a dryer is the way to go if you can but this does seem to work just as well, I've been using it for 10 months now with no problems at all. The three stage i use is the one in the link below, it's exactly the same as the Devilbiss set but a lot cheaper 👍 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152546226645?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zAf_2pMIQsi&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=v5EZyL9iR9-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Hi Pete, I've been looking forward to your review on this and I'm pleased you like the dropout filter mate as they are really good for keeping your air clean, I must have had mine for 3 years now and I've never touched it but I do occasionally release the pressure in the system so all the filters will self drain. Since fitting mine I've had zero problems with the air quality plus I don't get any water in the first stage of my 3 stage which before having the dropout there was always some in there even though I had a cheap water trap before the 3 stage, I know they are not cheap but for the home user they are worth every penny as the only real alternative is a dryer which cost a small fortune🙏👍
@peteshobbies5383 Жыл бұрын
Hi John, it's you really that made me get one, i was sceptical about them and KZbin only has corporate stuff trying to sell something from what i can see but it's been really good. To be fair i didn't get any problems with my old setup, the odd fish eye was very rare but it was costing me changing the cheap filters where as with this there nothing to do. Cheers mate 👍

Pleased you like it mate👍 you make it sound like I had you in a headlock until you agreed to buy one🤪😂 yeah I was the same until I saw Wayne from Damage Undone do a review on his, it sounds like they are to good to be true in all the bumf about them but I have zero regrets getting one and would buy one again if needed👍👍

Had that drop out on its own for a year and it does do the job. Recently got the 3 stage the same aswell and run that afterwards. Was to go with my iwata air fed but need more cfm to keep up with anything but short bursts of the ani r160. No way il get my ws400 to work with it. Currently got one 3hp sealey 150l and 2 smaller direct drive compressors linked in parallel but aye it needs more to power both mask and gun unfortunately. Anyway I can vouch for these drop outs they are worth it. Only water in my jobs where when I coughed and condensation out my mask spat into the last coat of clear on a motorbike tank. Good review mate. Enjoy your gun vids
@peteshobbies5383 Жыл бұрын
Hi Fraser, they do work well and are supposed to be maintenance free so pretty good value really and it will prolong the life of your 3 stage filters. I think the manufacturers stretch the truth a fair bit with there mask consumption figures as mine is supposed to draw around 7cfm which is obviously constant but it's more than that. I don't use it as much as i should, if i do i normally just run a separate compressor for the mask which seems to work, cheers mate, thanks for watching 👍
