PCT #61 Act III - The Sierra Nevada

Up and over Sonoma Pass and down into Kennedy Meadows North we go. Papa and Peach get there bear can and we get in touch with some wonderful trail angels Sailor and Scott. A big storm rages up in the mountains dropping snow, but it’s a warm and Christmasy night in the cabin below. Then it’s back up to the trail to continue on.

You got to the Sierra a little late. I hope the weather holds long enough for you to get through. Md October is when the first big storms arrive, storms that can make the whole JMT segment impassable. Looking forward to video from my favorite places in the world. You are entering a magical place, but it can bite when the weather turns on you.
