West Highland Way #4 - What A Way

A lemon cake and coffee in the bonnie Scottish rain starts this day off right. I hike on down the West Highland Way free and easy to the shores of Loch Lomond and along its wonderful twisted and rocky trail. So many beautiful people and places to explore! A rare treat, the Sun, and an icy swim keep me going happily along, until I find myself in an unexpected tight spot.

There's a famous song called 'Loch Lomond'... "O, I'll take the high road and you take the low road..." much better than singing Bon Jovi at the halfway point!

Ouch Huck. I felt that 😮 And I see you stumbled across the UK “glamping” tradition that has taken off in the past few years. Glamorous camping compared the Bothy (bo-thee) you also found, nice places ruined by some people who use them 🙄 How wonderful you spotted that poor beetle and flipped it over ❤

MacGregors basically owned that side of the loch, they had galleys on the loch.
