Glad to see you pop back up! Was starting to worry. The excitement over folding chairs is understandable.

I too was getting worried something had happened. Looking at those horse blankets as more padding, could make a comfy bed. Stay safe, looks like the meadow areas could be pretty wet. Thanks for posting

Yeah I considered borrowing blankets but decided I didn't want to have to fold them up again!

So good to see your videos again! Beautiful hike - hurray for hot springs - healing both body and soul! Nice to find the tack shed open - chairs, yay! I’m wondering - you were so averse to shelters on the AT because of mice, who have chewed through many a hiker’s sleeping bag. Are mice absent, or better behaved, on the PCT? I was also thinking of fleas on horse blankets - but I don’t know anything about fleas or mice, and how extreme winter conditions affect them.

We took measures to protect our food in case of mice abd perceived neither mice nor fleas, though both were certainly considerations

back in the day Reds Meadow hot tub had a locked wood lid in off season but you could jimmy it open just enough to get in. The high line variation there over San Joaquin Peak and Two Teats goes to Donahue Pass without many creek crossings but I’ve only done it on skis

Curious to know what you packed for 12 days of food, are you still using your modified for the Sierra’s food plan?
@travelinbeat Жыл бұрын
Yes it was all the same stuff from the video before leaving Kenneday Meadows South-- couscous, fats, etc
