I am loving your videos! I thru hiked the Tahoe Rim Trail June 27th- July 9th 2019. I went through desolation wilderness June 30th. Lake Aloha was still frozen. Dicks pass had so much snow you could not see the marker and Dicks Lake was still frozen. Amazing the difference a couple weeks make.

Happy days - dry trail, good fresh food plus family and friends. Having a physical, mental and emotional top up must be important when thru hiking, especially after the Sierra in a high snow year. Nice one!

I am amazed at the trail angels who make such delicious meals for you. I too am vegan when I can be but I believe hiking the PCT is one of those times when its not convenient.

Further, the trail angels in this video provided vegan and vegetarian options. Why wouldn’t you choose the vegan option in this situation?

You should hand out your patches on the trail at the trail magic places. and if it is more than two volunteers, put their names on a piece of paper and put them in your hat, draw a name, and have mom or dad mail them a hat.

If the glasses slipping happens again, check the temple cover that wrap around the ears and shove them up the stems again. I find my nose hurts when this happens because the glasses ride wrong. Nothing like a comment 9 months late.

Well if I was gonna get my permit this year I will stick to my wholefoods plant based diet, it´ll be a little difficult (since I don´t do any added sugars (except the whole fruit), added salt/oils, additives either & stay..) but there´s always a way and everyone´s gotta choose what suits themselves best

Some Aarn packs come with the pockets included in price, others you buy them separately. I have an Aarn pack and the pockets are amazing, carry all my snacks water bottles and sunglasses, hat gloves etc,that I might need during the day. They are designed in NZ.
