wow i first watched the other pdc replay from the final of 2007 between van barneveld and taylor and i did notice that the croud was only concentration about the match. I first thought it was because it was a final and in a smaller room but then i watched this clip and still 95% are their for the darts. It makes me very sad that nowadays after 5 minutes the croud isn,t really watching anymore only if their is a 180 or a 9darter opertunity only 5% is now their for the darts it makes me very sad because this atmosphere makes games more exciting to watch. I was born in 1997 and i don,t think this atmosphere is ever gonna come back but we can only hope.

at the time kirk sheperd was playing good darts, i saw him at the hampshire open before this world championships and he won the event with a pretty solid field, part was there, painter, wade and others. i remember it well because of how well he was playing, i dont think he threw more then 15 darts a leg all day. he still has a tour card to this day, so its harsh to call im shite. he just hit peak form this year and others took him for granted

Aside from the dartsmen playing the game now-a-days, Wayne Mardle is the personality that keeps people watching the sport on Sky. He's done as much for the game as what Crafty, Power and MVG have. Hawaii took up the mantle Syd left when he passed away.

There's a mistake there on the scoreboard. In the last leg Mardle starts with a 70, so 501-70=431, but the scoreboard says 416 (that can be achived if you throw 85). So in fact he was 15 points ahead the real score.
@thegameguyz177110 жыл бұрын
You're right I thought that too but Bruce spendley (the referee) called out 85 whether that was his mistake and the second dart landed in the five I'm not sure

I wonder whether 🤔 this Victory was Wayne's Finest Hour ? , He played the match in commendable & remarkable spirit ,& perhaps 🤔 was ahead of his time ? ,tell me, but his walk on was so similar to Snakebites antics ? , Well done Wayne 👏 ✔, World titles don't divine eveything ,in life, You beat Phil Taylor, who was sat on 13 World titles, still had 3 to go ! , Phil had no problems 😊 with congratulations for the winner because I think he appreciated your bubbly spirit ,no matter how each leg went ! 😀 I will enjoy your current match commentary all the more, Your well qualified 👍 to make the call.
