0:24 1972 BMW E25 TURBO
BMW built the E25 Turbo concept as a celebration for the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.
Based on a modified 2002 chassis, mid-mounted turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine. The car developed 276 hp at 7100 rpm and reached 62 mph from a standstill in 6.6 seconds. The top speed was 155 mph.

they should have the put the m1 homage and the m next into production. it would have sold well. with the exception of the 3.0 csl homage and 3.0 csl homage R making it as a limited production vehicle maybe for the bmw's M division's next aniversary. but then again i can see understand why they didn't expecially with the m next concept.
