hey isa, i just wanted to drop by and let you know that I just bought my first overlock off ebay and am beyond excited. You are the one that finally got me sewing my own clothes after I was pondering it for YEARS. Something about you calms me and makes me feel confident. Now my zigzag stitch has kinda given up and I am ready for the next step. Your patterns are amazing and you managed to come up with a really recognizable style and layout on youtube etc.... big respect. I am quite slim, so my body isn't very forgiving when it comes to patterns but yours fit really really well. Thank you so much! and i hope you continue having a good time building your fashion brand

Wowzers, thank you so much!!!! I'm so pleased to read this! There's so much to learn with sewing, a bit of confidence is definitely part of the equation - I remember when just cutting fabric stressed me out! You'll see, there's a lot to learn and it's great!! Kiss!!

I love print shop printing. I'm in Philadelphia and take my larger format digital patterns to my local Staples Print Center. BluePrint format for a 36 inch x 48 inch black/white print is $8 USD.

@@isainstitches You're welcome. I was just there and if you take the larger format prints there they can print them as 36 Inches x however long as well. In case you're working on future patterns and don't want to split the larger file up into chunks. Also, I jaw dropped to the floor when I realized some of my other print from home patterns have layers to them rather than struggling to figure out what line is when when I'm cutting them out. Really great explanation and as an aspiring pattern creator I hope to add this feature to mine as I start pattern testing different sizes.

Thank you for demystifying the entire process. The section explaining how to assemble the pattern, after printing, was particularly helpful.

Thanks, it is more difficult for me to get the patterns than to sew them. This will help a lot in the future.

Is seam allowance included in the pattern or do i add that ? TY
@isainstitches Жыл бұрын
Good point! The seam allowances are always included in my patterns, 1cm usually, except for hems (written on the patterns)
