Fast Forward to Queensland: Island Head Creek (IHC) 26Sep24.

Today was one of those days where you know you're in a beautiful place and you've got the whole day to explore and enjoy it. Island head Creek is one of those places.
Lying on the Queensland coast it is a waterway surrounded by green hills, no roads, no noise and no people.
Join me as I take a long beach walk along the long golden beaches against turquoise Waters and the amazing rock formations of Pine Tree Point.

It's a nice anchorage. Down the back, deeper inside are some really nice sand banks that go for a considerable distance to walk too. The East side (amongst the trees) used to be cassowary. If you wander down that way be weary of them. They're apparently the only bird known to kill humans. Don't approach them!

Yes, I know of the cassowary. The remind me of being one of the closest links back to the dinosaurs. I'd love to see one in a safe environment. I did come across what looked like dingo tracks on the beach when I was on that walk. Wasn't sure whether they were actually in that region or not. There were no dogs around and the tide would cover that very quickly.

An educated man? Yes, they very well may be an ancient link to dinosaurs. At least, closer than many other modern birds.
