I think the second "tall ship" that you pointed out mught be the Golden Plover, one of the last talk ships built during the Age of Sail. There's a lot of history to her. Also, the ship in the movie Dead Calm. I can see something like a white figurehead on the bow, can't discern if it is the plover for certain.

It would be interesting to know their stories eh. Must take time to do that.

I used to love going to South Mole for Polynesian nights. $25 all you can eat buffet with Polynesian dancers and fire breathers and all of the usual Polynesian fanfare. Great times. It's a little sad to see that it's shut down now. Edit: Daydream was the honeymoon holiday resort. Is it still open or closed too?

Yes, I know the sort of thing you mean about Polynesian nights. Fun times. I believe the resort was actually bought by a Chinese company and then it was hit by cyclone Debbie and never been touched since. Yes Daydream Island is certainly still there and looks like it's fully operational, new buildings and old buildings seem to exist. You write about honeymooners I think they have a lovers Bay there or something as well or lovers Beach.
