2:35 was that a 2 second delay between flooring the accelerator and actual acceleration? It looked like that 2 seconds was the engine trying to find the right gear before actually accelerating.

Sport S + is only on the IS350 F-Sport.

power figures is one thing and when the power kicks in is another. that's why rolling race are pretty important since this way, both cars can start at their optimum powerband. from there it depends on coefficient of drag and power from the engine as well as gearing from transmission.

Probably bc the BMW is tuned to extract a hint more performance at the expense of overall longevity. The Lexus may be detuned a bit but would easily go 20 years without major failure, while BMW engines would make more power now but not as much in 5 years when it’s dead at a mechanic as some tightly wound component crapped itself.

@@coreyalexander4766 I mean it’s not bad, owned mines for 7 years no issues. 2014+ they did fix the carbon build up problems. I own the third generation 2014. I bought sticker tyres and have modified the chassis with strut bars to chassis bracing. a tuner called RR racing has a supercharger for is250 producing 380WHP on stock internals with modified parts added to the engine.

180 KW and 7.7 seconds? My A4 with 124 KW and only 80 kg less weight was faster. The auto transmission in these cars is really not tuned for performance.

@Khb 888 It’s possible to have performance, luxury, and reliability. This car is just slow for it’s claimed power output. A 2017 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro with 188 KW and about the same weight does 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. There is one at my dealership with 157,000 km and no issues.

R_Workz no the IS200t got renamed to IS300 in Australia. We don't have the AWD detuned 3.5 litre v6. Trust me I'm obsessed with the IS!
