I’m probably the oldest guy in this thread at 53yo but I have mad respect for you EUC psychos. I raced AMA Supercross for about 6 years, I’ve been a LEO (law enforcement officer) and I fly small aircraft like my buddies rickety 1963 Piper Comanche with retracts so I have a couple of big ones. That all changed when I got my first EUC. I was slow to learn because back then there were no videos and nobody had them. I had this super strange no-name Chinese thing because there was no way I was going to spend a ton of money on the only name brand Solowheel when I wasn’t convinced it was even possible to ride these things. Lol Everything was going great and I was now cruising and Wow’ing everybody with my new toy THEN IT HAPPENED!!!! Death-Wobble from hell on my very first Full-Send to MAX. I broke both arms, several fingers, my nose, right orbital socket, dislocated right kneecap, And severe burns from the right side of my face down to my shoes from laying unconscious on the scalding hot summer asphalt. Nope. I had NO helmet, no pads of any kind, just shorts and T-shirt. 😂 My big balls will NEVER ride a EUC again or at least no faster than about 10-15 mph 😂 Over the course of my life I’ve faced many scary things and I’ve broken as many bones as Evel Knievel but the EUC wipeout was more than this old man can take! Lol 😝

What an absolutely FAN-FUCKIN-TASTIC video Kelly!! The 360 "cast" intros, the restaurant shout out, the scenery, recognition of indigenous peoples, charger drama, mini log cabins, kambucha leg, and even a CRASH!! This video's got everything!! Loved the video work, music, editing and production! Be VERY proud of every minute you put into this Kelly... it's truly excellent!! I'm definitely watching this again!

@@KellyChameleons Hey, Not sure how well it would work with the full head helmets, but I definitely recommend "Aftershokz" by " Aeropex" as proper earbuds/phones. They are incredible- especially when riding something like that. They don't go "In" or "Over" your ears, so you can hear what's coming up around/behind you, or like in this video- the beeping coming from you EUC. Wind though, they don't block wind very well if at all. You can call with them, and they do have a quick dial to the last call you had. They are also Bone Conducting. Only annoying downside other than the lack of wind cancellation is the price. They are $130.00 USD On AmazonShopping. Great video, I will now attempt to convince my Mom to get one of these for my commute to school lol.

Kelly, you really showed me just how practical and how possible traveling on an EUC is, and how possible it is to cover real meaningful distances with a really smoothe and enjoyable ride. 👍 I must admit up until now, I have more or less dismissed EUC's as strictly a novelty ride with no real safe and practical way to use them, except has a temporary joy ride. However, this video clearly demonstrates the real utility and practical aspect of traveling 24/7 on an EUC (Even though there was a seriously hard crash, which I suspect was due to totaly battery depleation and the rider being unable to hear the very loud warning beeps). I am 59 years old, and dealing with some health issues, so I ruled out EUC's as a no way for me. Now I'm seriously considering getting an EUC 😃. I'm a big guy, so what make and model of EUC would be best for me ? I will be primarily a sit down rider at best.😃 P.S. I've been to Portaland several times. I've been to Pacific City once back in 2018. I really love it there. I have friends in Olympia, Washington. I am about 800 miles North of you off of North Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. 👀

No fun allowed! JK. I like to ride with one headphone in but not in any real traffic. For music speaker is better anyway so people are alerted that you are coming.
@DavidVanmeterDutch2 жыл бұрын
This is not a real thing, sorry. It is all about how you do things and what you wear in your ears. I have ridden for decades with headphones, earplugs or earbuds on road, Bay Area freeways, off road, etc. along with a high percentage of other riders and it DOES NOT restrict your ability to hear horns or other important sounds. Reducing road and wind noise is important to fatigue and clear headed riding. If you blast music and don’t pay attention then it is not the fault of the ear devices but the rider. A speaker playing music won’t alert anyone besides a cyclist or a pedestrian so that argument is void as well. Same as “Loud pipes save lives”. Those loud pipes only work AFTER they pass by. Stop trying to control how and what others do based on your own ridiculous beliefs.
@theanimalplanet70312 жыл бұрын
@@DavidVanmeterDutch You keep doing you. Not everyone can give their full attention while listening to music. Like a deer in the field, once fault move and its over. Think of the worst and nothing can surprise you. This is EUC we are talking about! Once sec of disconnecting from mind-machine and its a faceplant!
