Gah. This band should’ve been massive. I saw them play acoustic with Emery and The Classic Crime and was blown the hell away. I stumbled upon their Twitter and I’m so glad I could find their music again since they’re not on Spotify anymore.

This is Dave, the original bass player (that’s me playing in the audio on this song, but that’s not me in the video footage; it was filmed after I quit the band.) Unfortunately, we all live in different states now, so a reunion is unlikely any time soon. Also, Dan, the one who sang lead on this song, messed up his vocal cords and got tendonitis, so he can no longer play guitar or sing. The rest of us tried to start a new band a few years ago, but then Andy moved back to Wisconsin, and Taylor moved to Texas, so that was the end of that. Maybe someday our paths will cross again.

@@dsoquist Hi, Dave. Thanks for the response. That's unfortunate that there won't be any new Peace Mercutio music coming out anytime soon. You guys are one of my top bands in this genre. It's also unfortunate to hear this about Dan; I can't imagine what it would be like to not be able to do what I love the most. You're a awesome bassist and your basslines always filled in the gaps and complimented the guitars and drums in every track, keep that up. I'd love to be able to hear what Peace Mecutio was working on before everyone moved away.... who knows, maybe one day. At any rate, keep playing that bass and whatever you get involved in, keep me posted, I'd love to check it out.
