Assad had numerous opportunities to build his country strong. He failed. Syria 🇸🇾 deserves peace, stability, and economic growth. Syrains are a beautiful people. Big hearts. God bless SYRIA 🇸🇾

Mr. Alghabra presents a very rational and respectable view of Israel from an Arab perspective. Every nation in the Middle East (and the world) would benefit from peace with the Jewish State. But his reference to Tel Aviv-as opposed to Jerusalem…the actual capital of Israel-tells the other side of the story. Like the UAE and Bahrain, peace benefits them in immense ways, from tech to military to intelligence, but to a large extent they do not reciprocate. They continue to vote consistently against Israeli interests in the UN and propagate a largely anti-Israel narrative on the world stage. And they refuse to recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the Jewish State. There is an undercurrent of anti-Zionism in all of their words and behaviors. I hope one day Israel’s Arab “allies” will turn around and become true friends.

1. This guy referred to the government of Israel as being in Tel Aviv. He ignores the government being in Jerusalem, Israel's capital city. 2. Assad might have actually survived this! Years ago, when Assad said he wanted the Golan back, probably thinking of how Israel returned the Saini to Egypt, Israel offered to unilaterally return the Golan if he would discuss a peace treaty. Just come to the peace table, no commitments! Instead of coming to Israel, like Sadat did, he went to Iran. Now, when he needs friends, Iran is not available to help him, and Russia is not available to help him. Because he spurred Israel years ago, Israel will not help him. 3. It is amazing, and wonderful, to see G-ds working here! Oct 7th saw Israel forced to to war with Hamas, an Iranian proxy, and destroy them. Then Israel is forced to go to war with Hezbollah, another Iran proxy, and destroy them, too! Then, Israel is forced to inflict significant damage on Iran itself!! So Assad has nobody to turn to for help!! It all plays out in necessary steps, hopefully leading to a significantly peaceful time in this part of the world!! G-d Willing!

I felt the need to respond to your first point. There is no political or personal reason here, just a gaffe on my end mainly because I mostly deal with Arab media where they still almost exclusively use Tel Aviv to refer to the capital of Israel. However, your point is well taken and appreciated.

Yes, you are exactly right and at the same time I take issue with the decision to refer to Tel Aviv. Jerusalem is Israel’s capital no matter who else has claims on it. You’ll notice the interviewer responded with Jerusalem as the city where decisions are being made. That is proper and respectful.

Great interview, but I’m wondering why he talked about Tel Aviv instead of Jerusalem when he discussed Israel’s approach.
@krl97010 күн бұрын
Because Tel Aviv is the tech and secular sector capital of the country while Jerusalem is the historic heart and capital of the country. By summoning Tel Aviv he is focused on a mutually beneficial trade and advancement for the region. At the same time there is acknowledgment that the religious issues of the sacredness of Jerusalem for three major world religions will always exist, focusing on Tel Aviv turns your head to what can be mutually beneficial. If there can be common ground found, perhaps there can be peace for all. That is my point of view and my sincere hope.

"Now it came to pass when all Israel heard that Jeroboam had come back, they sent for him and called him to the congregation, and made him king over all Israel. There was none who followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only"(1 kings 12:20) Jews(tribe of Judah) remained with "house of David" in Jerusalem until the last king of Judah, Zedekiah and taken to Babylon and came back from captivity after 70 years, build the second temple and when Messiah came, they rejected and crucified Him and God dispersed them in 70ad. It is the same Jews who came back in 1948 and proclaimed an independent Jewish State in the name "Israel" that God gave to Jeroboam who was the king of Israel and lost to the world in 720 bc and never came back to Jerusalem. So the question is, Where is Israel of Jeroboam? Is it the fake "state of Israel" of the Jews in Palestine today? Again, where is the "Throne of David" that angel Gabriel promised to Mary to be given to Jesus in Luke 1:30-33? Unless you know the answers to these important questions in the bible, you will be deceiving your followers looking at a fake "state of Israel" of the Jews from the tribe of Judah!
