Responding to a nonsense commenter: Lies, or you have beer misinformed. Palestine/Israel was NEVER entirely Muslim there has ALWAYS been a significant Jewish presence for 3,000 years, before Muslims even existed. There were pogroms against the Jews by the Arabs and Muslims there too before 1948. It was occupied most recently before 1948 by the Ottoman Empire and the British, and many before that including the Romans. Far enough back it was the Kingdom of Israel and kingdom of Judea, Jewish people are from Israel and Judea, which actually encompasses the modern-day Palestinian Territories. That doesn’t mean Palestinian Arab or Muslim people don’t deserve to be there, they do, 20% of Israel proper is Arab and in the Palestinian Territories people who just want to live their lives in peace, deserve to live good ones. Kurdish people have absolutely been genocided or attempted-genocided and very horribly abused, tortured, killed, occupied and mistreated. Palestine was never a sovereign state, though I sincerely hope for an eventual 2 state solution. Kurdistan is actually an ancient civilization and those folks are very indigenous to their region, like the Jews to theirs, the Palestinians most of them definitely have a deep connection to the land they’ve been on a long time too. I hope peace and rights for all. Palestinians aren’t being genocided that’s a very serious and unfounded accusation but there have been some abuses by Israel it’s true it’s not perfect as no country is and that’s terrible and should stop. You shouldn’t diminish the suffering of the Kurds or Jews

No matter how complex a situation, there will eventually be a way. Truth will prevail in the end. In my contry the solidarity with the Kurds that was actually there has been overshaddowed by this love for ”Palestinians” and their cause. I am all for all peoples to have their voices heard and their aspirations come to fruition, as long as they are not hurtful to others. But this (frankly) fettish of ”Palestine” is so wrong, on so many levels. It is like indulging a gang of children who bully others to take over the whole yard, because you feel sorry for them. I have been to the territories and to Israel. Many times. I do feel sorry for so many people there actually, for so many reasons. Such a mess of misunderstanding, indoctrination, being used by corrupt or just angry leaders and authorities, not understanding each other and not leaving those forces and institutions that are actually helping, working on improving things, a moment of peace to do their good job. Not saying the sane and mature voices that speak with clarity are not there… but ah man, the screamers drown them out all too often. I cannot say how emblematic oct 7 attacks on those kibbutz peacenics were. How detrimental to peace on a ton of layers. All the way out here in the perifery my Iranian husband has to hear youngsters cheering for khomeini and my leftist friends have a new idea about what the problem is. Zionism, of course. Such a supremacist ideology, those Jews wanting to take over the world. Frankly. I feel old. I need to watch channels like this one more, or something. The problem is, that under international law in 1920 Kurdish national aspirations had been acknowledged, but since then not heeded. Is the definition and solution of this problem to be left in the hands of Turkey only? Should there not be a broader international effort in order to redeem a once international Allied recognition of Kurdish national aspirations, mentioned in the Treaty of Sevres 1920 (signed by Istanbul but not ratified by Ankara and left out of the Lausanne Treaty 1923)? From a legal point of view, Turkey had subjected itself to the stipulations of the 1923 ratified Lausanne Treaty after its defeat in World War I. One obligation of this subjection (there are more, see for instance the articles on Cyprus) is to maintain good relations with sovereign states. The literal text of the Preamble is: "Being anxious to re-establish the relations of friendship and commerce which are essential to the mutual well-being of their (i.e the signatories to the Treaty) respective peoples; and considering that these relations must be based on respect for the independence and sovereignty of States." Is Turkey in accordance with the spirit of the principle expressed here? Allied powers that were signatories to the Treaty, besides being NATO partners, could, on this legal basis, remind Turkey to abide by it's legal obligations, should the country show signs to move on to further undertakings against the Kurdish people who already have, under codified principles of the Law of Nations, an unalienable right of somewhere somehow achieving national independency. And while at it, why not involve the other nations in the region (Irak, Iran, Syria...) that should share the same concern? And why give under international pre-UN law illegal PLO/Hamas national aspirations such a disproportionate amount of attention and support, while the Kurds with their legitimate cause for the past hundred years largely have been left to themselves!!?

There is a gap in your argument about nato. Iran Sudan Syria erx etc are not in nato. Yet still crickets. I think you are kidding yourself that the west is holding back a tidal wave of morality and consistent values only due to turkeys nato membership.

The Kurds were promised a State in 1919. Their land was occupied by Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran. Only 7% of the Kurdish population live in the semi autonomous Iraqi areas. Kurds in Turkey are persecuted. Not a word from anyone. My father whose family originate from Anah, Iraq close to Mosul always admired the Kurds. They were cheated from having their own State.

I totally agree with this Kurdish man, as God is my witness that I think about the Kurds all the time and I have been defending their cause face to anyone interested in confronting me; and I even have been referring to Erdogan as a permanently in-favor of genocide against the Kurdish people, especially against the PKK, and I don't see this bloodthirsty arrogant any other way. As to its usual and as per history, hasn't Turkey commited genocide against Armenia ? How about other peoples and nations throughout time ? How about Cyprus ? Who is always playing tough until comes the day someone kicks its butt copiously ? = Turkey ! Shame on Erdogan ! Shame on Turkey ! Erdogan and Turkey is an authentic hypocritic cocktail that should just shut their mouth when it's about the arabs of Israël so-called "palestinians". If we follow the Turkish logic, then there should be a two-state solution and it's about time, in favor of the Kurds in Turkey, in Irak, in Iran, or in Syria ! Big, Huge Support to our brothers and sisters the Kurds. Keep holding strong and don't give up, because Our God Has a time for everyone and everyting, and He Never forsakes His Beloved Children. Full Support from your christian brothers and sisters of Senegal 🇸🇳 !

Biafra Republic & Southern Cameroon have been at war with their various occupants , Nigeria and Cameroon respectively for their full recognition as a sovereign state . Biafra lost over 6 million people in 1966 counter coup pogrom and later 1967-70 genocide against Biafrans. Why are African nations different?? The restoration of sovereign state of Biafra is sacrosanct. No one is talking about them.

I am myself an Iranian Kurd from Iran’s Kurdistan province of Iran and then I am also a Yazidi/Ezidi Kurd from Iraq’s Kurdistan province of Iraq and I say we Kurds and we Yazidi/Ezidi Kurds are an Aryan/Iranic/Iranian/Indo - Iranian people and the real country/homeland of us Kurds and of us Yazidi/Ezidi Kurds is Iran! And Iran lost Kurdistan province in Turkey and Iraq and Syria to the Ottoman Empire the 23. th. of August in 1514 during the chaldiran war. Kurdistan region in Iran and Turkey and Iraq and Syria belongs originally to Iran or what once was called/named Greater Iran/Iranshahr or The Median - Achaemenid Empire/The Grecopersian Empire!

South Sudan was recognised as state so was East Timour... For Kurdistan its division was Ottoman and Western project and they don't want to reverse it. Ok it is because of Nato membership they don't want to upset Turkey but wait why support Israel when all Araaab 20 plus states get alienated. Any explanation please?

East Timor was part of the Portuguese colony since the 1600th but when the Portuguese took off, the Indonesian army invaded East Timor and killed over 200 thousand Timorese. The Indonesian couldn’t convert the Timorese people to a Muslim country and the real resistance leader of Timor Leste fought the army of Indonesian (not by murdering civilian, innocent lives) and eventually UN declared East Timor Independence, but the Indonesian kept west Timor as part of Indonesia.
@kakhavalАй бұрын
@@DRdorothy-t2l I believe the common factor is that South Sudan and east Timor are religiously different from their occupiers. The Kurds are not. Unfortunately even though the west is not truly religious and the Kurds are not either but the culture plays significant role.
