I actually made this for my Rotty. I used a buckle on hers. She's almost 8 years old and hasn't changed in weight in a long time. I gave her an inch of play in the fit and it's perfect for her. Thank you from North Carolina, USA, for such an easy to follow video.

This awesome!! Thank you for a well explained video. 😊. Is there a rule of thumb to follow if you want to make it smaller such as for a puppy or for when the dog becomes bigger. I ask becuz I have a Cane corso puppy but will eventually become a monster. lol. Would like to custom his collars as he grows. He will be an XL breed. Thank you for any info. I’m assuming you have video on your channel on how to end and close off the ends? New to paracording.

Can you show how you did the end? I'm brand new to this but I really love this pattern! Thank you!
@Peacedonkeys7 жыл бұрын
Hi Hannah, There are a few different ways to end these, just personal preference which way you do it. Maybe watch the end of this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWacaGuIgdh-eLM shows how to cut and melt at the end, and is very similar to the dog collar pattern.

I know this is an old video, but would you be able to use coreless 550 for the micro cord?
@davajo38686 жыл бұрын
You know what would be another amazing idea??? Halter bridles! Use the solid colored, plain patterns with the nose/brow bands being all fancy and colorful. Maybe even use 2+ "core" ropes instead of just the one for wider breast collars.

@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын

Hello, I am needing to make a 15 inch collar and am struggling with what lengths of cords I’ll need. Can you please help me?
@Peacedonkeys4 жыл бұрын
hi michelle, the cords are for a 20 inch collar. You want 15 inches which is 25% less than 20 inches. just minus 25% off the cords listed. all the best.

Hi : )! Beautiful dog collars you made ! My question: I don't find the required lengths ? The material you used... (I'm french ^^)
@Peacedonkeys4 жыл бұрын
Hello Pier, I listed the cords lengths in the video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKvQlJqOjceaosk You might have to use google translate for your french translation. Good luck, hope you have fun making your collars.

The begining states you need 22 feet? Is that correct? Seems like a lot of material
@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын
hi jill, this collar uses around 70 feet of cord all together, the 22 feet is just for the main colour, plus the three other colours that are also listed. Once you start making your collar you will soon see you need lots of cord! all the best.

i have a question, you say you need micro paracord 2mm but if i look on the internet i see micro paracord from 1,18mm so do i have to buy paracord 100 that is 1,9mm ?
@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын
hi sarah, there is a link underneath the video for 2mm cord which is often described as type 1 cord, or one sixteenth 1/16 of an inch, but also 1.9mm would be fine. link: amzn.to/2IRawZC let me know how you go.

The terms used for these cords are not correct. The cord sold at the link listed is referred to as 95 paracord and said to be 2mm. This is not correct. 95 paracord is only 1.75mm and it is not 1/16 inch either because 1/16 inch paracord is only 1.6mm. If you want 2mm paracord you need to order either 325 or 275 paracord. The difference between these two is that 325 has only 3 inner cords while 275 has 5 inner cords. I ordered the wrong cord because I did not pay attention to the diameter of the cord; only what it was called in the description(micro). I love your videos but you need to be more careful in describing materials used. Micro paracord is only 1.2mm and I think it will be too small to use with 550 paracord so I will have to order 2mm cord and patiently wait for it to arrive before I can make any collars!
@wcwyta91285 жыл бұрын
I have since learned that 325 paracord is actually 3mm. The chart I was looking at must have a typo. My apologies for any confusion.

Hey! I just found your videos, firstly I've watched all the horsey ones lol and secondly what are the buckles you're using in this video called and where can you get them? I'm actually in Ireland so I'm trying to get them online, I can't find them anywhere 🙈 x
@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын
hi hollies, there are some links underneath the video if you click 'show more' but i found a buckle on uk amazon, but i can't tell if it's 1 inch wide or long. it needs to be one inch wide, maybe you could message them for more info. here is the link: amzn.to/2Hoah7X or maybe you could order some through your local saddlery? they need to be around 35mm x 50mm. there are some eBay links on my website too if you want to have a look. www.peacedonkeys.com good luck!
