@@LaurenBateman hey there are several ways to play it. I have shown to capo to use open chords because the person wasn't ready for barres/arch tops. Honestly they are so many ways to play it as well as so many great guitar players in the band and each other does something a little different. The Eagles and the original Skynyrd are two great examples of a true talented band. Sync guitars one half step down sometimes all or chasing each other and a Ballance of harmonics. Didn't mean to rant I just love several guitarist that can get together and actually make music. I seen them both in 76/77 but I was just a toddler.

I just heard this this morning and thought it would be a fun one to learn, and then I was scrolling through and saw that you just added it today! When I first began playing, I would always look for the tutorials with the most views, but then I clicked on one of yours, and now my search starts here. You really make learning fun and simple! Thanks!

Aww thanks Karen. Glad to help! Sometimes the teacher with the most views aren't always the best. They've just been doing it longer. I'm newer to the YouYube teaching scene but I'm making a little bit of a splash. Thanks for wayching my video!

An excellent lesson Lauren! I’ve got a peaceful easy feeling...I like the way that you explain everything, the syncopation strumming is great, have you done a lesson on ‘Lucky Man’ by The Verve? I’d really appreciate your take and arrangement of this great song. Thank you. Geoff, a 71 year old Improver.

Great lesson as usual Lauren, interestingly I saw a video of this song recently using D,G,D,G,D,G,A,A for the verse and G,G,D,D,G,G,A,A,D,Em,G,A,D,D,D,D for the chorus. Both sound good and are easier than the actual record which has plenty of barre chords 🤔. A great song, big Eagles fan, had hoped to see them at Wembley but was cancelled twice, and they've now decided to do a Festival in London this year instead so doesn't look like I'll be seeing them. Too old to stand around, or sit on the grass all day listening to dross waiting to see who I want to see 😤
@LaurenBateman2 жыл бұрын
Yes, using the open chords always makes things a little bit easier to play. Sorry that you didn't want to see the eagles play. That stinks that they canceled on you.
@martinharvey23902 жыл бұрын
@@LaurenBateman well it was cancelled twice because of Covid, just disappointed they chose not to do a Stadium gig and went for a festival instead. I just don't wanna sit through loads of other acts who I probably have no interest in to see them. Plus even in summer our weather isn't very reliable for an open air concert 👍

I've been following your instructions and learning, Lauren, what's the difference between G MAJOR SCALE N E MINOR SCALE?
@LaurenBateman4 жыл бұрын
This is a bit of music theory, but basically the intervals between the notes are different. A major scale has major 3rds and a minor scale has minor 3rds.

What kind of acustic guitsr is good for a beginner ,? Anybody know
@LaurenBateman3 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey, guitars are very personal. I really enjoy the Ibanez AE series. Whatever you purchase, I recommend having the place restring it with custom light strings (11s). It's makes it easier to play.
@jeffreyhusack24003 жыл бұрын
@@LaurenBateman Thanks for the reply .I currently have an Ibanez electricbut I think acustic is better for hearing. when your learning ? And it seems like everybody is using an acustic. For teaching ? I. Was trying to learn Save your Love Great White. ,not many. Chords but a. Lot of string plucking. To remember. Also do you. Advise using a pick. ,I dont like using it but. It sounds betted
