Falls Creek Falls is a favorite for sure! I like to go up there on a cool day, then stop at Carson Hot Springs for a soak and a wrap....I love seeing it so wet up there, this late in the summer.

@@ThatBaldwinLife We are headed to St. Andrews by the Sea, New Brunswick. It's an annual VW campout to hangout with our Canadian friends. We absolutely love that town, it reminds us of our own Bar Harbor without the masses. So happy to finally cross the border again!

Your comment at 7:10 in the video is something I've been saying for years and something that I just don't understand. I have to bite my tongue when I hear people posting that they can't wait until reservations open for one of these asphalt State Park pads. This is the main reason I watch your videos when I'm not out there where you are. 🙂

@@ThatBaldwinLife I'm agreeing with you 100% Please keep sharing, it's refreshing to see that I'm not alone in how I treasure my Syncro Westy. It's an all Season, any time, anywhere adventure for me. Reservations for and even first come structured camp sites with individual asphalt pads have become repulsive to me. I don't understand why anyone that loves their VW Westy would limit their use to Summer and to structured reserved camp sites.

I know some (lots) of people won't agree with us and thats ok. We have friends with a Westy who usually camp in campgrounds and they have a blast. It's just not for us. nate

I guess I should add... To each, their own. If people choose reserved asphalt pads for "camping" in their VW Camper, I guess that's OK. Just not for me. And though I feel they are wasting the true potential of their Camper, they have the right to do so. But I'll be out there with the Baldwins and could possibly cross paths as I see you and I have been to many of the same places, but just not at the same time. 👍😁

Im curious, any occasions on your trips that you would of liked having a Syncro Westy? We are shopping around for a Westy and wonder if we should go Syncro.

Yeah for sure just for the comfort of having 4wd if the road conditions change. I don’t think a syncro would change where we explore or camp much and was definitely not worth the $10k+ premium for us. If they were not so much more expensive we would have considered one. Nate
