Peaceful Small Towns in Mexico

I had two conversations with two separate people in the last three days and they were looking for peaceful small towns in Mexico.
This was very surprising to me. I have another year or more on my present apartment and I am living in Mazatlán right now which I am happy with. The thing is more and more people, people from the United States and Canada are moving here like crazy. Now I am starting to look for peaceful small towns in Mexico.
In this video, we visit a town that is about thirty minutes driving from Mazatlan, and it is a perfect example of one of many peaceful small towns in Mexico. And, from what I am hearing, and from my research the price to live in this town, Concordia, would cost me or you about half what it would cost to live in Mazatlán.
More and more people ask me about small towns in Mexico to live. Or they ask me about small towns in Mexico, or affordable places to live in Mexico. Of course, many times they are just looking for the cheapest place to retire in Mexico.
So if you are wondering, “Where can I retire in Mexico?” There are many options and I am thinking about this one. When I visited Concordia, the not only did I put it on my list of cheap places to retire in Mexico, but I also put it on my list of very affordable places to live in Mexico, and another one of Mexico's most friendly and happy places.

Good work Bill! So... the small casas that you see in Centro in Mazatlan might be half-price in Concordia? (How many gringos do you reckon live in Concordia? I did see 4 gringos in the video, but they might just be visiting...)

Hi Jim, I would think that there are very few gringos in that town. And, I bet all of the gringos you see in the video are tourists. And, I bet you can rent or buy a place there for half of what you will pay in Mazatlan.

Concordia is a very small town. I bet you could rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bath for $500 a month or less. It is about a 35 minute drive from Mazatlan. Best, Bill
