At this rate DC is giving James Gunn his own universe if you think about it. This series ties into a movie, and he announced another spin-off recently. I'm glad that DC is giving directors like Gunn and Snyder a place to tell their stories, no matter how fucked up and nuts, and I think it's how DC can continue to find success.

I'm gonna stick to one single issue here since I get carried away with this show. I love it. So one reason I think Murn has been a butterfly the whole time, is that I rechecked ep 1 and in the restaurant scene, he is the only one with a full bowl in front of him who we never actually see eating - all the others eat vigorously at some point, but not Murn.

Harcourt enjoys Peacemaker's looks and build, but she can wrap Vigilante around her finger with just a few words in seconds. Harcourt is a control freak. She knows that she cannot ever keep Peacemaker the way she wants him, (He'll screw up at a moment's notice) whereas Vigilante really wanted to gut someone with a chainsaw but left it behind because she said so and is not averse to killing a whole family based simply on her say so. Vigilante really wants the approval of others. He's like a homicidal puppy.

Bro you are giving potential big spoiler. But, that old man does really adore Batman very much like how batmite does. If that happens then multiverse saga of DCEU will be started with peacemaker. Because batmite is actually from 5th dimension which like a different universe like thing and he has God like powers. He can change the fate of universe with his powers. (Just a funny thought Batmite is there because he wants to stop flash from altering DCEU. Batmite has the power to do it, also remember he is fourth wall breaking character so technically he knows about how fans reacted to that flash movie rumours. )

I always loved how James Gunn consistently pays homage to oldschool 80's B movies, he has such a love for them and it always shines through in his work, even down to this episode. I noticed it immediately when Harcourt and Vigilante found the Butterflies food and they were walking among all of the boxes. Totally felt like a bad action B movie you'd see on RLM's Best of the Worst and I adored it.

I love seeing the one and only Christopher Heyerdahl. The man was born to play despicable people. For reference Calvin, Captain Locke is played by Christopher Heyerdahl. His most notable role was in Hell on Wheels as the Swede. He was also Sam in Van Helsing along with many many other roles. If I had to pick one person to play a terrifying sociopath, it would be him. He is a master of quiet intimidation.

This show has been absolutely AMAZING thus far and I cannot wait to see how things wrap up, but this episode did admittedly supply me with my first complaint; I’m actually kinda bummed we ended last episode learning who the butterfly among them is, as it very unnecessarily drained the tension from a scene with what could’ve been a SPECTACULAR reveal this episode. Perhaps that’s part of the troubling terrain that comes with making a streaming series; each episode must leave the audience yearning for more after a climactic reveal/change of stakes 💁🏻‍♀️ Anyway, loved the reaction as always!

I'm not sure if *Calvin* is correct, but perhaps entomologists actually appropriated the word _"twitterpated."_ But it is originally from the film *Bambi.* It describes _one who's infatuated_ in both cases. _If_ *Murn* is a good guy/rebel butterfly, then the attack on *Adebayo* might be just a misdirect for the ending. The next scene might be him saying, _"Whoa whoa! Calm down!"_ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *EDIT:* I don't think the diary is there to incriminate *Peacemaker* in a strictly legal sense. It's more likely place there to mess with him psychologically.
