Peaks of Yore - ST WALLY MODE (0 ropes)

A new mode was introduced to the game today, this has you play every peak again while always being followed by the seagull WALLY. He loves to make you fall so throughout the run he will always be pecking at your fingers. This is the completed run grabbed from my Twitch. Enjoy!

is there some powermove ive missed? i know jumping off with crampons gives a hupe leap boost... i know swinging before gets even extra momentum and combined they let you jump rediculous hights, i know you can push this further by double grabbing, i know the pipe increases this again a bit. what i dont get is how he gets like double the hight and momentum of me every single time and can basically run up walls like its no issue. is it part of the gamemode or the golden picks he has? is there some buff or technique i missed during normal play?

How do you unlock wally mode? I've 100% the game on normal, got to bulwark on free solo, yet i dont have it?

It's hard to see -- there's a tiny bird icon on the main menu, before you select a save file. Click that and Wally mode will be enabled for whichever save you select: you'll also see a progress tracker above each save showing how much of it you've cleared with Wally. Note: save files started before a certain date won't be able to track the Wally progress. Try clearing a peak or two on your main save and then check the progress; if it's not incrementing, you'll have to start a new save. Not really a big deal as you'll have to clear all the peaks anyway, though you will have to re-collect the items if you want the related unlocks.

Can you only gain percent on it after you beat solemn tempest? you can enable it, but not gain any percent.

It's because your save file is too old, the Wally tracking won't work on saves that predate the Wally update.

Why is my Wally mode progress 0 percent I did all of the fundamentals, boulders, and advanced peaks 😭😭😭Also, you are to Peaks of Yore what Ye is to music (minus the Austrian painter stuff).

Your save file is too old, you'll have to make a new one to track Wally progress.
