Best live show I've ever seen. I believe over 30,000 people, down in the pits about 15 to 20 yards from the stage, and it felt like I was in moving gears, and waves in an ocean. Wow, what a show! I still tell people to this day it was the greatest concert I've ever attended.

You are kidding, right? First and foremost Eddie Vedder made this band great. His maniacal performaces, that voice, that lyrics,that vocal melodies, that passion, that emotion... how much he is giving himself away on every performance, phisiccaly, emotionally....I don't even know how he even walks after the show... how he survived. Nobody did it like that, nobody will. Then, amazing Mike and his solos made this band great, Stone's riffs, Jeff's bass. The core of this band and their creative and artisti energy made this band great. Dave was a good drummer, he was a good fit, he looked attractive and energetic behind the drums with his hair and his swings but Eddie Vedder was the one. You can hate him or love him but this guy made this band what it was and what it is. He is one of the greatest frontmens of all times...and that will tell you every single member of this or any other band...even Dave. Ed made this band great. He is the spirit of this band. Period. ... and yes, if you ask any professional musician or drummer or someone who really knows and understands music, he will choose. Jack Irons,then Matt and then Dave.. I've tried it 4 times... always the same answer in the same order. They were all great anyhow but Irons has that something... Pearl Jam is an unparalleled band. One of the greatest bands ever, but without Eddie Vedder that would never happen. Never. Period.
