Eddie Vedder is so unique. He seemed both calm and deranged at the same time when he did these songs. You can feel how much energy he's putting in, but it seems so natural and casual at the same time. He's so emotional, so fearless, so skilled, and so charismatic. Absolutely brilliant.

"Even Flow" and "Jeremy" are maybe the most typical songs that show, how good their songwriting was, still sound great and not a bit dated today.

Porch, RITFW, and why go are the songs that stand out to me from this show, this entire show creates an energy between the crowd, the band, and us at home, one that I have never seen before, really its hard to imagine anything could even come close................................... Thanks I really enjoyed your reactions

Nice vid girls!!! Remind me of how young i was in the '90s !!!.great bands like pearl jam, soundgarden,AIC or even nirvana made this decade too short Try to react to pearl jam's"Jeremy"(the uncensored vidéo is available now) another song from their debut album wich is just beautiful, dramatic and powerful at the same time, you will love it . Another powerful and very emotional moment was when Eddy Vedder( PJ singer) sings "black" and cries , at the tribute concert for Chris Cornell(soundgarden's singer) death.incredible vidéo !!!

Great reaction. I would recommend to you guys to react to some of the MTV Unplugged shows. They are classic and epic. Also, the bass player was sitting there looking dazed at the end because the singer was swinging his mic from the cord and whacked him on the head with it. Eddie pranced off the stange without even realizing he nearly took out a band mate. 😵😂

In my experience with Pearl Jam, their lyrics and their music, it seems they latch onto the emotions of an experience and not so much the details of an event. Porch always felt to me like an anxiety about leaving home or being left behind by someone else. Maybe a friend killed himself, and this is how he felt about it, these are the questions he asked himself, and dived into, in order to deal with it. We know from other songs from this band and their peers that a few incidents of suicide among other bands and friends in the Seattle music scene had a big impact on them. Considering how the lives of many of these incredible musicians ended, perhaps they never managed to process it in a healthy way. Who knows? To me, leaving the porch, bearing pain that you don't feel worthy of, guilt and regret are all expressed here in vague or poetic terms. Leaving your home, leaving what's comfortable is scary. So is losing someone, and facing the reality that they chose to abandon you, whatever the reason. The pain of maybe not knowing the reason, it's hard to take. Hear my name, take a good look. i am real, i am a human being and this may be the last day you see me. Don't take it for granted.

Congrats on experimenting with Pearl Jam. I do find it very strange for rock/metal fans who haven't heard a single song from Pearl Jam before. If you haven't heard of any Nirvana songs then immediately you should because Nirvana is the godfathers of grunge.
