Had three sons later, The youngest autistic....He's 7 now and I remember him sitting on my lap at 3 yrs old as I sung this to him( not knowing the exact lyrics, lol). He loved it, even though it was loud and I sung with my heart. he loved it. I tear up now thinking of it and he gets shy when I initiate a duet with him Now. Eddie was interviewed in Amsterdam, and stated, he wrote 'Yellow Ledbetter' when he was plastered. So he said the words change with each performance, since he dosen't actually remember the original lyrics. It all depends upon his mood. So according to Eddie, there's no actual "lyrics" to the song, either right or wrong. It's improvised for each performance. I've seen PJ in concert 14 times and each time, the lyrics are switched up. But, regardless of what comes out of Eddie's mouth, the song is absolutely amazing.
@myinfinitestate158611 жыл бұрын
I'm orginally from WA (Western Australia). I was forunate enough to see PJ when they toured across OZ, on they're Oceanic Tour. I saw them in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, as well as Auckland, New Zealand. I've also seen them at several shows in Europe. Eddie is actually going to be touring Australia, performing solo, starting on February 7th, in Perth, already got my tickets :) for the Riverside Theatre.

There is something very emotional about how a Pearl Jam concert ends. This song is very interestingly unique for me, as there are almost no songs I have ever heard that get me physically choked up like this one does, by leading me always to stop and think of family that has passed, children that have grown so fast, and friends that have come and gone in various ways. It's both a happy and a sad, solemn..... But meaningful song in so many ways for me personally. It's a trip honestly! Haha. Thank you P. J. I will always love Mike McCready for what he did for Layne Staley, encouraging him to sing, writing the music for Mad Season and bringing the music to Layne and telling him he had complete artistic freedom, write anything you want. Mike also thought that because he just got out of rehab and being sober he could help Layne., which he did for little while.... and of course his amazing talent..

One of their best songs but not officially on an album. That really proves how awesome this band is. Love it!

@@Faks.09 Ah, I didn't know about that. I first heard the song in the 90's. I see "Lost Dogs" was released in 2003. Cheers for the reply. Listening to the album now thanks to you and loving it (new discovery).

Can you see them? Out on the porch, but they don't wave. The crowd really experienced something special here. Life goal and hopefully these fine people don't ever stop.

Yea. Experienced a song about US troops coming home dead. That’s why you get the Jimmy Hendrix rift at the end. Come on
