I had an experience with Pearly during my time at a media company. My assistant had reached out to her for a potential collaboration and tried calling her 4-5 times. Although the calls didn’t ring on our end, Pearly returned the call an hour later and responded quite rudely, saying, “Why do you keep calling me? Don’t you have the manners to understand that if someone cuts the call, they’re busy?” My assistant was taken aback and chose not to respond further. Ideally, Pearly should have set her phone to silent mode or DND during interviews to avoid such interruptions. We had no idea the calls were ringing on her end. For someone who positions themselves as a motivational speaker, basic courtesy and professionalism go a long way.
