My friend bought me the Salamangreat structure deck when he taught me how to play a couple of years back because he knew I always picked the fire-type starters in Pokemon. While it wasn't the best deck for a new player (luckily he was a good teacher), it is still my favorite deck and why Salamangreat Heatleo is my favorite monster. I am a full-on "Timmy" who mimics the anime. I watched Vrains soon after learning how to play and fell in love with Playmaker's Cyberse deck. To this day, Code Talkers are one of my best decks (next to Salamangreats and Fur-Hires).

For me, madolches make me feel like a force of nature when I combo off or go into a grind game, especially in the TCG and Master Duel. Mained them for several years, and I have the same sentiment for them as a farmer with his trusty shotgun.

I love em too. In DL I like that their OTK potential is basically 100% if the combo goes through. And in TCG, I've always liked that one mechanic they have to recycle hand traps. It's so degenerate, but luckily the deck isn't good enough that having that ability is broken.

i feel like neos deck is probably a good first choice too, picking up neos fusion deck by itself and using tickets to get hero grandmerge and a bunch of vanilla heros works surprisingly decently and getting some of the other hero stuff like masked hero deck or Trinity over time can work well, also destiny hero structure is good for farming rank 4 xyz summons to try getting your extra deck slots unlocked

I got lucky being a massive dino nerd and johnny- my deck was practically chosen for me. I basically just made it my mission to build a deck with every possible dinosaur, and ended up teaching myself to play/deckbuild along the way without any prior experience- Dinosaur is a pretty mid deck, but it's certainly fun to use! I also love building decks that can turbo out mission objectives (which dinos are also spectacular at, esp for damage requirements bc of Tyranno Infinity). I gotta find a meta to build soon, there aren't that many meta decks that look fun to me tho (where are the CREATURES????). I think I might try something Zombie-flavored.

While I have no idea about duel links, I have been playing the game on and off since 02. I've never really found a good way to find a deck I know I vibe with until I play it. I'm definitely more of a "Timmy" with a little bit of "Johnny". I play decks that are either cute like fluffal or rikka, I vibe with like Swordsoul tenyi or sharks, or is goofy like beetroopers or frogs 🐸 It's definitely easier on MD because you can craft cards and such, but you can totally hit high ranks with your pet decks as long as they have answers to whatever the new meta is (damn snake eyes to hell). Even better if it's some wacky archetype that no one knows how to play against like vailyntz or rikka-sunavalon

He said the deck should be capable of KoGing, not necessarily the player. That way if the player decides to become competitive, they will have a capable deck to use and learn how to get better, rather than having to build a capable deck all over again before being able to do so.

I think for me Duel links is all about the collection aspect. I try to build as many different decks as possible. They're all so interesting and i want to try them all out. I currently own 25 different decks and I've been playing DL for one year. Not necessarily 3 of each card in all of them but complete enough to be usable. But no matter how many decks I own I'll still end up using cyber dragon 90% of the time. It's not a phase mom, this is who I ammm!11!1!

PLAY SUSHIIIIIIIIIPS. Probably one of the easiest XYZ decks to play. And the most straightforward to play. Also only needs 1 pass at the box to make it playable.

The easiest way to play Duel Links, for casual players & absolute beginners, is *RUSH DUEL.* No wombo combos, no quick effects, no Extra Deck shenanigans. It's pure, basic Yu-Gi-Oh! The road to KOG in Rush Duel much easier than it is in Speed Duel. Rush Duel only came out in Duel Links last fall, so it's fairly recent. But it should definitely be considered for people starting the game! It doesn't take much to make a deck, either. Some decks are extremely cheap, like Ace Breaker or Harpies. Get experience with Rush first, then go into Speed Duel when you're ready for more advanced gameplay. That's what I would tell any new & casual player! 👍

The anniversary box is a good way to get playable decks (and alternative card arts). Oh wait, the box is no longer available. Uhh... set up for Suships as a early pvp deck and make fun of any Tenyi player you encounter when you go second. And remember, "Finally got to visit that harbor specializing in Gunkan Suships that I've been curious about for a while! The premium "Shari" here is limited to 2000 Suships a year, and uses specially developed smooth aged rice, giving it extra boldness not found anywhere else. The classy atmosphere made my heart sing, too. The Gunkan Suship served had a perfect balance of vinegar, nigiri, shine, and shape, demonstrating exquisite artisanship. The owner told me, "We are introducing rich yet mellow scented EDO-FRONT red vinegar in the near future," which I'm really looking forward to. I have a really fun deck that "never" wins games. It just spins its wheels and gets a 3 bounce in sylv high arbiter, or ends on maybe a linkuriboh and cyber slash on turn one. Its very RNG heavy but consistent at the same time. Its literally just all the level one sylv plants, the 7 star tree, glow up bulb x3, rose lover x3. Genuinely every other player sends me a "nice" regardless of outcome just cause they enjoyed something different, I guess.
