I love how this was mixed. It feels like when you're chugging on the open, the guitars are a bit pulled in but the moment you start riffing, the guitars widen up a tad. Blew my mind.

Been looking for an amp with the hardcore EVH sound without spending the money for an EVH amp. From everything I have seen and heard this is the closest thing, I can get to it. Especially for a home studio. I even found a website that has the Eddie Van Halen tone setting for this very amp. This little beast has got me sold.

I got an east river overdrive and isp decimator 2 in front. Pre-Gain on 3.75 lead channel and pedal level at 1:00 / 2:00! I find you gotta eq through the effects loop, it has a ton of 400hz low mid so i scoop some out then up each one after it up to 3.2k boosted by like 4db then drop some 6.4k 👍

I keep hearing that the Direct-Out sucks on this amp but the MSDI on my 6505 MH sounds amazing! I use XLR into my Scarlett Solo into Reaper. The presence has to be pretty high but it does sound like a mic'd cab and I play through Presonus 3.5 monitors. I may add an EQ and maybe some better monitors but it is the 6505 sound all day. Love the video!

I got a 6505 mh. I keep the pre gain at 5, bass at 5, mids at 8 and treble at 6 with post gain at like 6. I also run a mini tube screamer before that.

Awesome video. I've had my 6505MH since they launched and I love it. Zero problems and sounds killer. I've got a 5150 as well and I like this little 6505MH just as much. Probably the best music purchase I've made other than my Ibanez Prestige S.

+Pete Cottrell I've got the 5150 2x12. I actually prefer the combo to the full heads tonally but they're very close. I fee like most of the differences between that and the 6505MH are cab/speaker based (my 5150 goes through the 212 which has 2 Sheffield speakers while my 6505MH goes through an Orange PPC112 with a single Vintage 30). The 6505MH lack only a tiny bit in the low end (may just be a cab thing again) but the articulation is a bit better. Also, the clean tones are much more usable on the 6505MH. It cleans up very well. All in all they're very similar and I love each of them for different reasons. Honestly, I'm probably going to end up selling the 5150 simply because it's just too large and heavy for a combo and also because the 6505MH is so good and at 20 watts is more than loud enough on its own. I'm very pleased with it. Needless to say, my 5150 has gotten almost no use since I bought it and if you told me that before i got the 6505MH, I'd say you were crazy. It's that good
