Single father with full custody of a four year old son, I can feel this song. Can’t explain to my son why his mother walked away, choosing poison in her veins over flesh and blood. He is my best friend and the only thing I like about me. All the struggle is worth it when I see his shining eyes looking up at me. Thanks Pecos for the great song!

Happy for you!!! Been there before. At 32 my ex left me and my kids for the drummer in the church band. The best part of this story was, I started dating a girl I worked with, she was 19. My ex would harass me and her and even show up at work. My gf raised my kids as if they were her own. One night my ex called, she had a different sound to her voice. She said can I please come stay at the house. I told me gf something is wrong, she she showed up 30 mins later. He had beat her up so bad she looked like marge Simpson. We let he stay in the spare bedroom and I told her not to come out until I took the kids to school. I was so pissed, I called him and told him what I thought about it. He started talking shit, flapping his dick beaters (his lips). Update: me and my gf ended up making it three years, it was just not the right time for us. My ex wife found a new husband, he is an awesome guy. Me, my stepdad passed away and my mom asked me to move on the farm because she needed help. So that's where I been since 2008, farming. Life is having a blindfold, down a path of twist and turns. Love it

Don’t change a thing, you know exactly Who you are. That is very rare in this business. Not to mention we had that special factor with your voice that you are instantly recognized because you had a lot different style of music and your voice matches that perfectly in my opinion. Well done my brother. I would love to come see you guys.

I wish I could be transported back to the first time when I heard this song. I was 14, coming back from my family’s ranch with my dad after a deer hunt when it came on, man I was sucked into the guitar solo. Nowadays, it brings back hard memories of a tough breakup I went through last year. Every time I hear it I get a tear in my eye thinking of my old man and i in his truck listening to our song together. I miss ya dad.
