The Pecron E2000LFP is a very adequate solar generator that will be able to power things like fridges, freezers, lights, fans, medical equipment, toasters, microwaves, and much more quite easily. It is expandable with other LiFePo4 batteries and will charge with solar panels quite well.

Great review. We chose the Pecron over the Bluetti and have been thrilled with the way it works. Customer service was also amazing even though it was obvious they were in China. They had the unit to us in just a couple of days because their USA warehouse was near us and we ended up adding the trolly (which is great quality except for the handle) and two 200 watt suitcase solar panels and two extension cords. They gave us a discount on each item and responded very quickly to all of our questions. Oh and BTW you said it was heavy, well it is about 48 pounds and the Bluetti is 62 pounds so we feel it is pretty manageable especially with the trolly made to fit it perfectly. We love it.

I am looking into the pecron e2000 lfp. But I don't really trust the company. They need American support based here in the U.S. I worked for a Chinese tech manufacturer company and if they have to use Google translate to communicate its a no for me. Let's just say I was part of many email convos between Chinese support and American customers. It was a shit show 😆

@@DoritosResidue I cannot tell you how many times I emailed them with questions and they were so polite and quick to respond every time. And when I added more items to my order they gave me the original discount on those items too and free shipping twice. I was impressed with them and we love the generator. The only thing I would change is the handle on the trolly. I'm going to ask them if they might come up with a metal upgrade and I'll order it as well. Best of luck to you.

The PF value is the power factor in Watts equaled to the apparent power in volts and amperage VA time the PF equals watts. As always great video.
@winmancaboose
@winmancaboose Жыл бұрын
To clarify for other people reading this, PF is greatly affected by inductive loads such as AC motors. It can also be effected by capacitive loads like in computer power supplies. For the intended application PF will only be effected my power tools and refrigeration units including air conditioners but is too small scale to greatly effect PF.

The PF or pf is not expressed in Watts but is expressed as a fraction or ratio - usually from 0.95 to about 0.80. Normally. It has no units. In layman's term it's the ratio of the apparent watts/useful watts. Or apparent power/useful power.

Basically if you buy 400W panels x3 for $140 locally, hook it up to the battery during the daytime and get 1000W in and use a window AC, you can have free AC for about 6-8 hours a day. That is awesome if you are taking in more solar to charge the battery, run the AC for free, and then have some battery leftover to run it a few more hours after. Great for a window unit to say a home office and it allows you to turn of the central AC to higher temp to conserve electricity.

I bought the E1000pro because I was initially impressed with the 2000. It STOPPED TAKING A CHARGE in 1 day. Going on 4 days with multiple emails and only 1 response with them asking for a video I HAD ALREADY SENT. Update! They responded and sent me out a new unit. The system broke because the solar panels cannot be series connected only parallel even though the manual says it can be. The new one is working perfectly and is fulfilling its purpose great.

You can use the cigarette lighter 12v DC port that is already in your van for slow charging. But for fast charging directly from the alternator is tough. I generally do not recommend it. You need to upgrade your alternator for that kind of work, then install an inverter that is rated to 50% more than the wall charger wattage, then you can use the wall charger to charge your unit from the alternator using the wall charger.

What I don't like about this kind of reviews is how repetitively the about a gadget that someone else already did. To the average guy who wants to use this when the electricity goes out, the one who never goes camping, don't care how many ports it has, not to familiar with Watts, Volts etc. tell us what can I do with it and for how long. Why don't you plug a regular appliance, coffee pot, blender, microwave, etc. so I can see if I can make me a cup of coffee in the morning, how long until the bacon in my refrigerator is going to last before the refrigerator stop working, with this gadget. Is my router, pc and printer going to work because I need to finish a project and the kids want to do homework. That's what I want to know. Port for this, that and the other, I don't care. I can see all the ports in it and maybe I can figure it out, tell me how long we are going to enjoy this gadget before I sit in the dark with the rest of my neighbors.

I've got the e3000, and love it. It doesn't have LiFePO4 cells, but doesn't need them because I'm using it for power outages only. At an 800 cycle rating, the batteries should last me 150 years. :) I like the little 12v 5521 input, I can charge at 100W with any 12v battery and it will run my fridge an extra 2-3 hours in a pinch. My favorite feature is when I wheel in for a power failure, the lights come back on so I don't need it. I guess a lucky generator is the best generator!

A couple of reviews showed this power station starting at 110volts and then dipping down in voltage at a concerningly lower voltage of around 100 volts while under load. If there are other reviews showing improvements in this area I may be interested, but I wouldn’t recommend using if this truly is the case.

A standard fridge will use abou 100wh/hr to 125wh/hr. Take the total battery capacity on a system, multiply it by .85, and then divide that by 100. Example, 2,000wh x .85 = 1,700wh usable watt-hours of battery capacity. 1,700wh ÷ 100wh/hr = 17hrs of run time on battery only.

I seldom hear anyone bring up the subject of running a fridge and include some ideas of how to maximize the run time. From the obvious like dont open the door and stand there wondering whats to eat. Figure that stuff out first. Additionally, a full fridge/freezer is the efficient freezer. Having lots of stuff in there stores the cold in the products. Air is a lousy transmitter of heat so fill it up. With a fully chilled, filled up fridge it will cycle far less often and save you power for later. If you dont have extra stuff to put in the empty space use water jugs. Also, turn the temp up a little. Most items will do just fine in the upper 40s and low 50s. My mustard and relish spend the day on the counter and are fine at room temp. Put the temp fragile items in the back if you are worried. Just some stuff to think about if power consumption is critical.

Can it run 500 watt oxygen concentrator and charge an inogen oxygen concentrator on solar?
@minutemanprep
@minutemanprep Жыл бұрын
Yes. A 500w oxygen concentrator will consume 500wh/hr off of the 1920wh battery. So it will give roughly 4 hours of non-stop run time with just the battery, no solar. So you'd get 4hrs at night. To get through 14 hours of no sun (night) you'd need 500wh x 14hrs = 7,000wh of battery just to get through the night. Then to recharge that in a single day while still running the oxygen concentrator you would need a minimum of 1700w of solar. So the E2000LFP won't work if you need to run it 24/7. You'll need to jump up to a Delta Pro 2400 + 1 Extra battery (poweredportablesolar.com/product/delta-pro-kits/) or the Titan+ 2000 Rigid + 2 extra batteries (poweredportablesolar.com/product/titan-kit-500w-2000w/)

Less than one day. It's actually impossible to say how long it'll last. A "typical" household varies from state to state or even county to county quite a bit. My household uses about 20kwh per day. Many of my customers use 50kwh a day. And many others even over 100kwh per day. We literally have to make a list of everthing you want to run and then from there find out what system will work. That's what we do at PoweredPortableSolar.com/

It's not gonna run your typical household. It's only 2000Wh. It will run a TV with a cable box all drawing 120w + your lights drawing, say 80w which gives you 200w total. This Pecron will last for 10 hrs. (2000wh/200wh)
