Hi! I just recently had my 20 weeks ultrasound and I’m really worried What does this mean “Subtle vertically oriented linear lucency extending through the upper lip potentially representing a cleft lip. However, this could also be artifactual. Consider follow-up ultrasound to further evaluate. Fetal anatomy is otherwise normal.” Is it sometimes sonographers who do the reading can also be wrong?

that statement seems to mean that the sono saw a line on your babes lip, but suggested it might just be an artifact from the machine itself- like a shadow. everything else was normal, they just want another scan to sus it out. Sono student xx

Question my daughter in law just went for a fetal survey is what it says on the paperwork I went with her and they were very thorough with the ultrasound took about 45 mins but they could not get a clear picture of the babys heart they say because the baby has been in a weird position so they scheduled another visit in two weeks would this type of ultrasound be done because they are concerned ? from the very first ultrasound they have done they have been saying "baby not cooperating" ?
