When I saw that shelf I just said "ow that's so F* smart... that made so much sense" I went back and looked at each gen 1 gym set and realised each one could easily have a badge number shelf. Gold used items, TM, stat drop, status, think about the Miltank moveset and type advantages !!! He became a good trainer thanks to her ! But Pedro Araujo makes these series based on all the lore with a few changes such as making the trainers 16 rather then 10-12. Hell, for all we know Blue ended with Leaf as his girlfriend in his version of the lore or even making Lucas (trainer from Diamond and Pearl) girlfriend either be Dawn, Candice, or he might make a poll on who he should end up with. For all we know, we might see a Chris cameo in the Sonic Adventure series due to Chris and Sonic X being popular in Japan.
