Excellent trainer:clear, precise, supportive, knowledgeable. Focussing on getting the basics right, and working them over and over- the only way. Great job.

Hey Carter, I think it would such a great idea, to make a video on home training plan for those who can't go to boxing gym for some reasons, so we can maybe use a slip bag, and some footwork drills and technic drills, it's actually not easy to plan what drills to do that are actually useful not just moving around you know

Hey carter, make an entire online course, consisting of video sections/modules related to the Peek-a-boo stance, from its stance, footwork, head movement, and everything else. At the same while teach the conventional orthodox method of boxing for the beginners which later on will help them pickup the peek-a-boo stance. It will sell for sure with the right advertisement
@goodguyswearblack13382 күн бұрын
Literally what I teach! Exactly what I'd love to see as well! Making a video is not the same as coaching. To do both good is next level. Big props to Carter and I'll be making that gym trip soon!

I actually learnt a lot from this video i watched all the other videos in the channel (some of them multiple times over) and one thing i thought was cool was that "the twist" is an actual move thats used. Can you explain it more since before i thought it was something to just work on balance but the idea that its an actual move was pretty surprising

one question i Always had about this style is how do you defend yourself againt's uppercuts?people used to say that the greatest weakness of tyson was againts fighters who could throw good upper cuts while being at their back foot timing tysons slips(such as the lennox lewis fight in round one) is there a specific headmovement/footwork for it? or you just slip it like you do for the straight punches?

When moving forwards you sometimes put your left heel down first before your toes, but other times you put your toes down first and don’t use your heel at all. Am I just picking out minor details?

@Cosmoxo21 күн бұрын
Let’s imagine this is a peekaboo vs a peekaboo style thing, which did happen to Mike Tyson and buster Mathis jr (who’s father learned from cus) Make sure you master footwork, this is key, if you don’t have time to move your head then obviously move your feet. Also in this video Carter mentions the twist, this is EXACTLY why we need it incase we get tied up or we need to tie the other fighter up, make sure your hands are always are in the inside when you clinch the opponent and if they try to wrap your hands try your best to escape and immediately counter staying your hands inside and using the foot work/twist or if you have one free hand, that’s your attack hand. Also be much more aggressive than they and and try to put more pressure than they are but also being calm and smart and also focus a lot of body shot, hence why the cus style primarily loves hooks and tends to do a lot of body shot combos to “break down” the tree aka the body of the opponent before getting the chin.

@@peekabooboxingacademydo you think it is possible to add the peekaboo to my arsenal ? 6 months in and without focusing it. @ninjallama70464 күн бұрын
Never wanna lean forward in any boxing stance, leaves you open for uppercuts a good reminder is never let your nose go over your knees and toes
@SalKay-ur5nk2 күн бұрын
No you’re not leaning forward, it’s harder to counter. Tyson was actually a little back it’s very methodical the way he did it and most would lean in just to bait you

It's like you giving us the same material in 4 different formats...we waiting a whole week if not more...to get the same info we got the past 4wks and 3 posts...what kind of shit is that?

Hey Carter! I've been following you for a few months and using your videos to learn Cus’ style. They’ve been super helpful and have cleared up a lot of my doubts about what to focus on as a beginner. I noticed you are looking to launch your own online course and I wanted to see if you’d be open to me helping you with that. I'm a copywriter and I could use my skills to help you create a website and launch a campaign. If that interests you, I can share my IG with you or you can let me know where you prefer getting contacted. We can go over my past work and how I can help you. Hope you consider this, wish you all the best
