can you please explain why most boxers to close distance with the jab only step with one fott (lead foot) whereas Iron Mike stepped in with both feet at the same time by pushing off the rear foot when closing distance with the jab? when should leaping in with the jab used and when not?

Honestly I don't understand why you need to sleep 3 times after the jab ?? never seen Mike doing it in a fight and i am not sure it is efficient, an idea ?

The slipping 3 times is to drill it into your brain to get the fighter used to moving their head. After you throw a straight punch you slip, doesn't mean you slip 3 times in a fight.
