We do an oil change, coolant change, air filter change, and fluid checks on our Kubota BX23S. We also share a cool little shortcut to emptying the coolant overflow tank.

Great video, Lucas! My air filter got like that when the Cottonwoods were shedding this summer. It must have been hard to edit this one down to 14 minutes! Thanks for sharing, buddy!

Thanks, David! It was helpful that my son came out to help film. That allowed me to get better and more concise footage to work with. I was pretty shocked by that air filter so that was true embarrassment there on camera. Lol

400 hrs! Nice. I'm at 100! I also will be changing my front axle oil for gear oil. Well done the machine looks ready for more and I do like the air hose pressure to clear out the fluid. Yummy lemonade! Thanks for showing us.

On hood latch, pull up then out. Much easier. Plus I saw a kubota rep explain that one time. Definately helps to read manual every now and then. As foor the oil, Paul Short in Canada recommeded Form-A-Funnel. Saves a lot of mess when draining oil and coolant on cars, mowers, or anything else. Looks like it would help here, possibly.

I thought I was the only one that was horrible about maintenance! HAHA. I just hit over 400 hours on my 2601 but it's too cold to do the maintenance now. You aren't truly working with wrenches until you bust a knuckle! Love the Jokes!

Lol. Right? I do what I can to at least stay in the ballpark, but yeah, I’m no bookkeeper. I just do what I can when I can. I was proud of myself for flushing the coolant. I don’t think Ive ever done that on anything.

I have a L3150 and love it. I bought it because as a kid we had one on the ranch and my buddy and I used it like Bo and Luke Duke. We were horrible to that thing and it never died or let us down plus we still got the hay fields plowed. So when I grew up and it was time to buy one as an adult I knew I had to by a Kubota only for that reason. I bought new in 2004 and put it through the ringer and still kicking. I am not easy on them sense I use to run a 580k case backhoe for a couple of years i know a few moves these farm tractor should not do. Lol

I thought I spotted some Kubota Orange in your video! Man, I bet that L3150 is sweet! I don’t necessarily have a need for a bigger tractor, but I’m sure I could find some uses for it!

@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead I said L3150 meant 3130 still the same. It is kinda a perfect size because I can still get in peoples backyards with it barely. Only if the have the larger swing gates. At time though I wish it was bigger. I have the BH90 backhoe on the back and it was the best investment ever. Paid for it self with the first job. Well I justified it that way. I was quoted $12k to dig my leach field then I told my wife the backhoe BH90 attachment was only $7500 bang I got a new backhoe. Hahaha Thats how I got all my attachments I just showed her the quotes to have the work done by others. We were going to have to spend it anyways right.

@@ClementFamilyFarms Man, I hear you on the backhoe. I would buy it again over and over. I have dug drainage ditches all over. I put in wiring and plumbing to one garage then built another garage and dug to run wire to it. I am so glad I decided to get it! It really does pay for itself. Plus, I’d much rather get to do the digging myself!

I think you`re suppose to check the trans (rear dip stick) with the tractor warmed up, engine turned off. Should be in the middle of the Hi/Lo marks, when at operating temps, engine off. Check your fan belt tension too. Mine was pretty loose after 200hrs.

Yeah, I actually did the fluid change about 50 hours ago and cleaned that screen. This was due to an axle seal failure. So my 400hr service has been spread out over the last 100 hours. Lol.

Now I have another question I watch this video of you change the coolant system and change the oil and you change the air filter why did you change the fuel filters while you were under the tractor you have two of themJust thought you’d like to know😂😂 PS You forgot to grease the fittings on the tractor also or maybe that another video

Well if you watch a video it’ll show you on KZbin imagine that Kabota 🚜 recommends that you take the bottom radiator hose off of the radiator to drain the radiator before you drain the engine block just thought you’d like to know😂😂

Use a "diesel" coolant like Shell Rotella ELC NF, or Walmart Heavy duty coolant, more better for diesel engines.
