Great job Lucas! Works really slick and the best part is you made the lumber to build it 🤠👍

Lucas. Great idea. This is something i could find alot use in just being a back saver is a big help. Yours and brocks both turned out awesome. I did see Sandy's awhile back when he built his. necessity is the father of invention Keep it between the ditches

Yeah, so when I was researching I told Brock why I didn’t want the traditional slab rack style and he pointed me to Sandy’s log table. I love it. I won’t be doing logs on mine so it is built a little more light duty, but it is working out great!

Thank you! It is really helpful to keep me from having to bend over and cut and pickup wood!

So cool you built that with your own milled lumber!

Thanks, Brad. It really is. Can’t wait to do a lot more of it!

This setup is awesome and works perfectly for what you were looking for. Love the blue paint in what I assume is the cut locations. For the flitches, it works really good especially if you keep up on the task. I have had piles as tall as me and that can certainly be a burden so to anyone new to saw milling, this is an excellent project to build!

Thanks, Joe! Yeah, when my buddy brought his mill over before we just piled them all off to the side. When it came time for me to deal with them I knew I wasn’t going to let that happen again. I’m going to handle them as I create them.

@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead if you do that, you are one determined man. Often, especially when I have help (my wife) we are hustling mill as much as possible. I never did a log or two. I would always mill about 5-10 a day when I was milling a lot. Mid summer in OK and you are pretty disgusted with everything under the sun at that point. 😉 needless to say, my deck would likely get stacked just like I stacked it at Brocks.

The slab table is a great addition for the mill, well done. If you used that sycamore for the timbers, spray it with a sealer with pesticide.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I actually hit it with sealer a couple nights ago because of what you told me about sycamore. 👊

Yes!!!!! Love it. This thing is amazing! I built one too last year. Sure alot easier on the back foresure!!

It is so easy on the back! When I was planning out my Woodyard, I knew it was one of the first things I wanted to build. I love it! 👊

Works great . Now you can saw those slabs with ease.

Yeah, this was a fun first build and it is keeping my Woodyard clean and organized.

Great video! Great way to cut them slabs. Building things out of lumber you milled yourself is nice, no matter the size or complexity of the project. Really enjoying your WOODYARD journey! Thanks for sharing!!!

If i had a nickel for every log rack video I've seen today. I'd have 2 nickels! Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice 😆😆

Thats a lot more work than I did to put my slabs on. Three firewood logs 4 ft long is what I use.

How do you keep from having to pick it all up off the ground?
