I haven’t tried this peel base but I always file around the edges of my nail to “break the seal” so that cuticle oil etc can get in there better.

I used this for the first time today. I put it on my natural nails so I can pop my tips off without soaking or filing. Then I used UNT peel base as normal before dipping so I can still change colors at will. We'll see how it goes.

I have used Jell-O Jell-O with dip powder. There’s no problem with just putting the gel base over the Jell-O Jell-O without wiping it. I don’t have an issue with it and all my stuff comes right off when I need it to so that’s probably what happened is you shouldn’t have wiped the top layer sticky off.

Unfortunately with dip base, the tacky layer would’ve gunked up my brush

I was thinking the same, that you shouldn’t have taken off the tacky layer. I’m thinking cause it’s a GEL peel off and taking off the tacky layer, you had literally turned it to a regular gel base coat. Or you could have gone straight to dipping your nail (as a first layer of dip powder) Like I usually use a base gel coat and dip and cure, repeat once more and put on a topcoat ( of cause after I file and shape the surface of my nail, this way I don’t hard my brushes with an activator) Hope it work’s better for you next time or you figure out what you did wrong or which way it works better.

I have seen this everywhere as well and I’m so glad you review it… because it's a gel maybe you can try putting a matte top coat on before dipping that way you dont have to wipe off that tacky layer and then dip over the matte coat and see if it produces a better result

I use 2 coats of the peel base, it works much better than one coat.

I think gel matters. I have a gel peel base and it sucked with dip, but did good with the gel mani I did as a test.

Yeah, I was thinking it was because it was a gel peel base. And now I’m hearing that none of the gel peel bases work with dip 😩 But I’ll definitely try this with my full coverage tips!

I’ve never heard of that peel base. I hate that it messed up your other mani. I just tried UNT pb this week for the first time. I put two layers on, won’t do that next time, my gel mani came off no problem. Lol

😂🤣 peel base with gel only works TOO well for me. The gel will peel off the first time I wash my hands so I definitely know what you’re talking about!

Would/could you use it over builder gel? And if yes, would you put a top coat layer in between the builder gel and the peel off so that it’s easier to remove? I’m concerned the One Kill may somehow damage my builder gel overlay.

You probably could, but I haven’t tried it. I would definitely put a gel top coat over my builder gel before applying it. Maybe that way the OK remover will damage the gel top coat instead of the builder gel?

Only if they aren’t opaque. The light needs to be able to penetrate the press on to fully cure the gel

Hi new friend to your channel. I just got this same box set to try out as well. I haven’t used it yet on my own nails due to waiting on my nails to heal from chemotherapy I had to do this past year for triple negative breast cancer but my nails are almost ready to get started on doing some cute nails on. I mostly do beauty/makeup subscription box openings over on my channel but I hope to add doing nails soon. Thank you for testing this product! I have also seen it every where and I almost bought it but I was hesitant because I only do dip. But it was alluring with the claims that you can keep your mani on more than 10 days then pop it off. I really wanted it to work on you 🤞but nevertheless a big huge Thank you to you!

Hi Ginny! Thanks for testing this out. I also watched Emily try this product on her channel and was curious to see if it would work on dip powder. I do have a question…… I was wondering, since this product seems to work well when using it to remove gel, how it would work if you used dip powder but applied it using the gel method? Meaning, instead of using dip base for the application, you used gel base coat. So, I was hoping that maybe you could do a video of you trying that and let us see how it works….I’m definitely curious! Also, I’m really wondering if the fact that you applied alcohol to remove the inhibition layer from the nail was the reason the product didn’t work correctly. So, I wonder if you just applied a thin layer of the dip base directly over the nail without removing the inhibition layer and let it dry. Then, what if you applied another layer of dip base and then applied dip powder, what would happen? Either way, I would love to see a video of you trying the gel method of applying dip powder and seeing how the JelloJello product works.

I wondered about if it would work better with gel method! I may have to try it, but need a break from it for a while, haha! Since I was using dip liquids, I had to remove the sticky layer or else it would’ve gunked up my dip base brush, unfortunately. Always appreciate your thoughtful responses 💜

the reason why it didn’t work for your nails is because you applied it over tips! peel off gels are designed to peel off natural nails, not extensions since nail gel/extensions are made of the same acrylic. gels are designed to stick to each other, that’s why it doesn’t peel off. try it on your natural nails before you apply the full cover tips.

It might be an interesting test if you had dipped the cured base into dip powder, brush off the excess and then start usual dip process from there. Maybe it might have worked that way, Sorry you had such bad luck, but thank you for sharing.

This product is designed to get gel products off your natural nails, not off of already placed tips. I dont know of any product that would do what youre trying to do. 🫰🏻

My air dry peel bases (unt, holo taco, orly, etc) work perfectly on any surface (natural nails, tips, builder gel) so I was trying this to see if it would work as well
